It's rapidly sinking, but there is still a feeling that if Tony was sacked, someone who'd guarantee relegation be be hired. Saying that, Tony is staying since he has all his former associates in the boardroom and beside him. And he has a long contract. We have to hope the squad is rejuvenated and Smallwood and the lesser talents are sold in the summer. There needs to be an aggressive leader in the defence for a start. As for Johnson, I'd like him to have a few spells with foreign and/or lower league teams before risking him as a manager. Create a loan market for coaches first.

Champions League 2018-2019
Norbert Rassragr replied to speeeeeeedie's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Bit like me Rover_shaun. I have a season ticket at Coventry RFU (yes I edge towards union being half Welsh, bitches), and follow Rovers. The Premier league I record the odd game on BT but not really watch it. I have a fondness for Liverpool being a child of the 80s, and Borussia Dortmund as they were the nearest city to where I lived during that time, but I hate real Madrid (Fascist scum), PSG (a small dog in a handbag owned by a Kardashian) and Barcelona (Pep made them pretty home grown, now they are like PSG). I hope Neymar cried out of his mangina after they lost. Shaun Edwards would have minced that ponce. FYI I have done a 10 hour shift as usual but have been on the Jim beam, so apologies for any offence and outrage caused. -

It's sad to think all Ajax's players will be sold next summer and this can't be a revival of an old giant of the game. I loved the team of the De Boer twins, Kluivert, Litmanen etc. -

I have a mental image of Andy Todd running around kicking the opposition's subs up the arse all game. -

Leeds, Southampton, and others have had points deductions and fines for being financially knackered. What makes Bolton so special? It's been going on for ages there. -

Leeds fans can try to be nice and constructive, but ultimately they're nasty Yorkshire puss bags wanting to fight and generally be horrible. A northern Millwall. It must have something to do with being Jimmy Savile's home town. -
Liverpool, as their owner is slightly less scummy than the cheating, slave owning, human rights abusing City owners. City are a plastic team,at least Liverpool were once the top team in my lifetime, I don't know when Man City were more than a mid table team. I don't care about Liverpool not winning the premier league as Sky TV didn't invent football. I also don't like all the fawning and circle jerking over Pep Guardiola.

Preston at Home

Maybe they meant the 1890's, when Preston last challenged for a title. -
The tea thread!
Norbert Rassragr replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football
Yorkshire tea is my favourite 'everyday' tea bag. Tried Dilmah when I visited relatives in NZ, and that was weak ant's wee. I also like the Chinese types like Iron Buddha, and Oolong that I can get from the many Chinese shops (Coventry Uni has loads of Chinese students). Can't drink coffee though. -

Maybe Mark Venus wants to build some more houses. -
Other Football League 2018/19

Nuneaton's ground is very much a non league venue, a return to Northampton would be given the Oysten treatment and no-one would go, and the other stadium, the Butt's arena already has 3 teams playing there (Coventry RFU, Coventry United and Coventry Bears Rugby league). Coventry City's owners SISU are constantly suing the council and the Alan Higgs charity over selling their halves of the stadium to Wasps, and it gets thrown out of court each time. What is a new factor is that I think Wasps are now having to restructure a bit and not pay big wages for top players. A whole load of their big names will leave next season, and apart from one or two coming in, the squad is far less of a dream team of high profile stars. -
Yet Bolton go from crisis to crisis and nothing happens.

See where we are in the summer. Issues like the defence and the tactics have to be addressed, with players being out of position. If a really good manager is available, or a good coach to help, get them.
-
It has fallen apart a bit which is disappointing. Unless it really goes to poo and we get 3 points from the next 5 games then I'd back Tony. Next season has to show real improvement though.

Kean, somehow still getting jobs in football
Norbert Rassragr replied to rhodie's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Proof there is no god when decent people end up homeless and vermin like him keep getting well paid jobs. He and Jerome Anderson are hideous corrupt people who are the embodiment of how dirty football is. -
The problem is that if that other guy gains control, they'll have an equally dodgy owner.

Who is the biggest and best club?
Norbert Rassragr replied to old darwen blue's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Let them have some tin pot poll in a local newspaper whilst we polish the Premier League trophy, Worthington Cup and so on. -
Australia are mediocre, South Africa are pretty good but not spectacular and New Zealand are not quite the invincible super heroes they were over the last 8 years or so. England, Ireland and NZ are the best teams and the winner in Japan is likely to be one of them.

Championship 2018-19
Norbert Rassragr replied to Cherry Blue's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Lambert is a complete quitter, a fake. He couldn't be bothered to go for the long term here, and used our mental owners as an excuse, couldn't get a reasonable Stoke squad to achieve anything and is now getting worse results than the previous manager. If or when he quits Ipswich, he can only hope for some job in the Chinese 3rd division or as a pundit on a foreign satellite channel. -
There have been some mistakes, but the club seems to be run like a normal club with a pretty decent manager which is an improvement over chimp head who got the club relegated and would never have got us back up. Hopefully the squad shortcomings will actually be addressed and younger players will develop.

JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
Norbert Rassragr replied to adz4d2's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Oh well. Would have been nice to have signed Mr. T, Austin, or Gallagher but at least we have kept our best players and not thrown wages at some complete turnip who last had a good game for MK Dons three years ago or a Danny Murphy type. As for Benny B, I hope he can get it together and start scoring and playing well. At least he has time on his side to do so I suppose. -
JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
Norbert Rassragr replied to adz4d2's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
At least it's not like we sold Dack, been promised a £50m war chest and then seen us re-sign Brown and Bothroyd. No real ambition but it has been a lot worse in the past.
