  1. Well I'm assuming things as we have been scraping around signing the likes of Nathan delfonso last time we were in this division. We are still owned by venkys and can you trust them to provide a good budget or even a consistent train of thought?
  2. Oh so it is my turn for the BRFCS point scoring game. Sorry but I can't be bothered to play. £8m is too much for someone so inexperienced when we are not backed by a super agent and a Chinese billionaire.
  3. He looked much sharper, but Wilder is a ridiculous step up for the 3rd fight after a lay off. It'll be one last pay day before having to scrape around fighting Chisora or veteran British/European has been.
  4. I would leave the deal as well since forest are being greedy and messing about. £8m is too much of a risk on our budget and there must be better value elsewhere. Can't suggest any names off hand.
  5. FFS just get a decent striker without being robbed. Whoever is screwing up the deals had better stop it. I have no idea how good Brearton is, but if he is a star at the youth levels he is possibly a player who you might rue letting slip. We need some good players in but I think we will be disappointed or ripped off.
  6. Have to say, he's not highly regarded in Coventry, but I think he did ok since he had to work with SISU, who run Coventry City like the Oystens. Even Jesus Christ himself would spend a week with them and say "eff this, I can't achieve !this miracle" as any player with any ability is sold on the cheap, and a new squad is formed every season.
  7. Yes, Bordeaux who are managed by Poyet. I saw that on the BBC website.
  8. Normally a rival club hiring Coyle would be funny, as Burnley fans would agree. Blackpool however have been such a dastardly, calculated car crash it invokes genuine wishes against this happening. I wonder if that Gordon guy still thinks the oystens are justified in taking all the money out the club and running it to the ground because they own it.
  9. So this Brearton guy looks to be signing very soon, but it is not a done deal? And didn't he do well in one of the youth world cups? At best this could be like signing a very young Alan Shearer. At worst, a very young Per Petersen.
  10. That's a lot of doughnuts. I wonder how much of that was paying off the crap like Best and co. from previous years?
  11. https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2017/jul/11/local-radio-station-mansfield-hijacked-masturbation-winkers-song The immigrant song by Led Zeppelin.
  12. Make him wait. Woakes and Curran have done enough, and Broad has had a rare good game. Not sure why the court case took so long to process though.
  13. Demand silly fees like £30m and 25% of the next fee and don't budge if it comes to it. The premier league is throwing money at everyone else so why not ask for the moon on a stick?
  14. Put me down for a no with Wickham. Terrible injury record means he'll only contribute very occasionally so we'll still be relying on Graham. He did once seem to have potential, but that was years ago, and his brandy snap legs have taken a hammering.
  15. Reasonable window, but with a pretty poor last few days. Still, better than the last few years when we'd be expecting a forward, and then Wes Brown turns up with some Portuguese jackass no one has heard of.
  16. I'll politely disagree. He was a flash in the pan at Leicester, then became the most useless striker in terms of actually creating and putting away chances. His international record is something like 8 goals in 55 games. You might as well have paid Gavin Henson or Mike Find all to change sport and run around giving defenders the physical stuff. His 1 goal every season was usually against us though.
  17. I'd be disappointed with Jerome myself. He's pretty poor, and constantly misses sitters. Sort of like Heskey, tries hard but has no ability.
  18. So no rumours, just some sad middle aged men chatting crap about women whilst idly playing with their semis.
  19. I half expected Coyle as well, especially since he managed Lancashire rivals in the past. The only thing the oystons haven't done to goad the fans is to poo on Stanley Mathews' grave.
  20. I was quite positive about Moore, and I think he should be given time ahead of a knee jerk cut and run to hire some failure like Padrew et al. New blood need to get on the merry go round, otherwise we'll end up having to hire all the managers from the Bundesliga.
  21. Green shoots to hope for the future of the wasteland at Ewood Park, but toxic waste still being dumped with brown envelopes going to the oystons at Blackpool (that family of sex offenders don't deserve the upper case for their name).
  22. Maybe I'm biased as I was a calzghe fan, and all the big yank stars avoided him, but Wilder and his agent seems a bigger Billy bullsh-tter than them. AJ has fought V Klitschko at least whilst Wilder is happy facing bums in front of biased judges in the USA. He gives it the big I am with offering stupid deals with a 24 hour deadline but never backs it up. Wilder is the bad tempered ladybird of boxing.
  23. Cov City lost despite signing Ogogo from the Shrews. Hope the first Cov Rugby pre-season game goes better since we signed a load of brutal Tongans like Halifornua from Gloucester. We'd all like him to face up against Neymar, put it that way.
  24. I seem to remember Waghorn being one of those 'oh no don't sign that donkey' players when we had a crap manager. Not looked up his career but I think he was like Heskey, worked hard, tried but scored less than a Jehovah's witness in a brothel.
  25. Seems like Wilder may want to take the easy fights in the hope Joshua gets old and slow. Did Mayweather ever fight Manny P before that huge fight where they made billions a couple of years ago?
