  1. Used to wander all over the place did George leaving his right back exposed to a 2 on 1. Definitely not one for TM
  2. Hugill didn't make a start for West Ham but has 22 appearances for boro so the way he will look at it is he was only sat on his back side for half a season and has an increase in his weekly earnings for playing at the same level
  3. Josh King had numerous hamstring issues under Bowyer doesn't seem to have worked out so badly for him after his move to Bournemouth
  4. England 49-7 after 21 overs disgraceful. Jennings top score with 17
  5. Came across a programme this evening from 2014/15 season Jan 17th Wigan away. League table within has us 10th P25 w9 d8 l8 pts 35 and six points off the play offs perhaps were back to where we were four years ago but on an upwards progression this time!
  6. Can't say I was at all impressed by James Collins yesterday. Looked an accident waiting to happen at any time played numerous balls putting fellow defenders under immediate pressure
  7. The problem with both Olssons is they couldn't get a block on the cross coming in.
  8. Had the linesman done a proper job the goal wouldn't have stood and we wouldn't be having the inquest and castigation of Raya's role
  9. Was right in line with that shot it was moving all over the place Raya did well to get something on it the way it dipped and swerved at the last second in particular
  10. Can remember Sir Roger Jones keeping us in the tie in the first match
  11. Was around 1973/74 when we played Altrincham in the cup 0-0 at Ewood and 2-0 to Rovers in the replay with goals from Don Martin and Kit Napier if I remember right. It was an afternoon midweek game the replay. I was at school in Altrincham then and the entire school shut early so all who wanted could go to the game. Had a lot of ribbing after the first game those goals shut em up
  12. Shelvey was absent for Newcastle yesterday having been to see a specialist in Barcelona midweek about a long standing thigh injury so that may not happen at the mo
  13. Bolton allegedly also owe money to Norwich which has not been paid
  14. Credit to TM for the high press preventing Newcastle from playing out from the back. For respecting the support and the competition by picking a full strength side.
  15. Stood on the vertigo inducing back row Y last night it was a joy to watch Lewis's performance. With an almost aerial view his ability to find space to receive a ball, his apparent time on the ball and ability to come away with the ball when he had no right to were particularly notable. He did tire in the last ten minutes which resulted in increasing errors and the referree bailed him out for the awful crossfield pass which offered a break for the toon. That was however an exception.
  16. South Yorkshire police requesting Sheffield derby no longer takes place at a weekend but as a night fixture on a weekday . Source BBC news. This will be giving ideas to lancs.
  17. Alan Nixon on radio lancs tonight reckons Ben's best position is as a right sided forward because he has pace and two good feet!!!!
  18. Did Chris Brown have any ruled out for offside though?
  19. More lazy reporting article has him signing from us!
  20. Other than lump it forward to Danny Graham I am at a loss as to what style of play Mowbray has!
  21. Think that was the lad from Walsall who went to Bolton. Outzemer or something like that. Not pulling up many trees there.
  22. Despite the poor run over the last nine games. Ipswich Reading Rotherham and Notlob are no closer than they were nine games ago. When those four are closing the gap then the alarm bells will be reaching a crescendo.
  23. Bobby Svarc was signed by Jim Smith from Colchester United where Jim had been manager he had also signed Bobby from Boston United where Jim was manager before taking the Colchester job. Bobby fitted an alarm for me in the middle eighties and always reckoned Jim Smith had saved his career at Boston. He lived on Revidge for many years. Lovely bloke Bobby always happy to talk football.
