  1. Leaves that sixth place up for grabs pity we are not in the running.
  2. Listening on radio lancs yesterday Andy Bayes raised this very question his conclusion was we are not top six material.
  3. EFl loan of 100 million delayed as government introduce restrictions at last minute BBC sport reporting. Shades of what happened to national league clubs
  4. Very fair point chaddy. Would Henry Winter be interested?
  5. See he has found another 77 houses accurate as ever
  6. 170 units at average of 400000 a house is approx 68million gross development value
  7. Managers reluctance to use the indoor training pitches with using ewood lately smells of more than coincidence now with this
  8. The agent is a town planning consultant with a long list of major builders as clients.
  9. Suggest this needs it's own thread it is of such importance
  10. Considerable number of clubs dissatisfied with national league handling of this have signed an open letter expressing their views link is https://www.chorleyfc.com/2021/02/19/an-open-letter-to-mark-ives/. It's also on Chorley web site if that link doesn't work for anyone interested in reading it. Whole thing is a mess.
  11. Perhaps Tony unplugged the camera to stop us watching the under 23 side rather than his tripe
  12. BBC reporting Gloucester city leaders national league north now taking legal action against scrapping of promotion. This is going to get very messy. Chorley reporting the restart and then stop again has cost £30000
  13. To add further intrigue to this sorry mess I understand the the government has failed to produce minutes of the meeting with the national league and dcms despite being asked to do so. This revolves around clubs thinking the second tranche of money would be a grant and not a loan when they agreed to start the season. I understand Lyndsay Hoyle has sought clarification of this from Dowden the minister.
  14. There is potential at present for up to nine clubs refusing to play including Dover. If they all follow Dovers lead I don't see how the league can carry on. However if the others follow the leagues instructions and don't follow Dover the league will carry on with Dovers results expunged and relegated. Be interesting to see how this plays out.
  15. National league season to continue but north and south declared null and void BBC sport reporting
  16. Forest have been playing 4-2-3-1 so expect us to mirror that with Harwood bellis appearing as a right back
  17. Comparison of these two lads from City and Everton makes me appreciate just how good Phil Jones was at the same age.
  18. It's another mulgrew situation. May well have told old Tony what he thinks of him
  19. Wagner also on short list according to BBC sport
  20. Nevermind four days he's had four years to drill the back four and look where we are at.
  21. Not long after he arrived didn't Mowbray question the value of having a category a academy with rather having the money for the first team. The loaning of these young defenders with very little first team experience has to be seriously questioned. Inevitably they will make mistakes but not for our benefit whereas our own academy players would be learning to our benefit. These loans are not the same as when tosin arrived with a seasons worth experience with west brom at championship level.
  22. Kevin Gallagher on the radio made comments about some players body language during the game not being right
  23. It's certainly the preferred option of some clubs for a second year running. If you take a view that this is now endemic within the population and will vary in extent on which season it is need to be finding alternatives
  24. Chorley match yesterday was the only one in national league north to be played others postponed due to weather and clubs refusing to play. The season resumed whilst the vote on whether to continue or finish remains outstanding with clubs having a 28 day period to vote. Why restart when you may stop again in two weeks. National league threaten clubs who refuse to play with fines and point awarded to opponent. Bradford pa have voted to stop on the grounds they didn't agree for the second tranche of money to be a loan earlier in the season. Their opponents Farsley Celtic have also voted to stop so national league can't award points to opponents in this case. Bradford say why restart season and spend thousands they don't have when result in a few weeks of the vote may see season ended. Makes sense. National league have got themselves in a right mess if clubs can't afford to play the game how do they expect them to pay a fine. It is also possible for the individual national leagues to vote with a different outcome it appears. Would they not be better having a lengthy pause and restarting again say in May and playing during the summer when covid rates are lower and there is a possibility of fans getting back in the grounds to some degree and generate some income to maintain the clubs. Some out of the box thinking is required rather than just giving up
  25. The next time Swag starts whingeing about I follow take up he should be referred to Parson's post in this thread. It's a pity Mowbray doesn't get more involved with the coaching during the week it would give him less time contemplating his navel worrying about the opposition and devising nonsensical scheme's to nullify their fantasised strengths
