Ok! Not including Shearer! Who has been OUR best striker/centre forward since the Prem started? (Because we've had a lot of bloody good uns over the years) I say "our" because I mean who was great for our team during their time here (ie. goal scoring wise Rhodes was incredible for us, but did nothing after leaving, so he wasnt/isnt a great player but was great for us!)
-
Newell was good and seemed to have a real affinity with the fans here, But Sutton was just a class above in ability and could probably have played more for England had he not shot himself in the foot there! and he also struggled with injuries, As with most players that leave us for big money we probably got the very best from him (yeh he was successful for Celtic, but the SPL is shite so it doesn't count)

Dreary fkin me. The teams below us take advantage of their games in hand and we're just heading for our usual 'mid table Mowbray' end to the season. I'm not seeing any determination at all to finish in the play offs anymore, were just back in doggy paddle mode. -
Premier League season 21/22

If large sections of the Chelsea fans start pro abramovich/putin chants this weekend in protest... the club should be completely suspended from taking part in all Professional football competitions. It cannot just be brushed off as "banter" -
Hahahaha as if said by Tony Mowbray himslef. Needless to say that rovers have twice as many fans that no longer regularly go to games than those that do, but yeah i guess their opinion is irrelevant because they no longer go regularly๐ด๐ด๐ด๐ด But yeh gavin you keep up this Mowbray/kean esque lame divisive game youve started recently of making back handed comments aimed at those that don't(or can't!) go regularly ๐

Cardiff was a freak show and united STILL think they're the best in Europe. That said! I agree to an extent. No he's not an "Elite" manager that can handle the added pressures of managing a top 4-6 team, few are! Hughes was pretty dire at city, but great for us and Solskjaer is at that sort of level in my opinion.
-
Solskjaer would be worth a shot if he would work at this level! still a tallented popular relatively young manager and now has a point to prove and he knows the area well so settling in wouldn't be a big factor. I think he'd do best at a club like ours where he has full control t9 build a team from academy upwards and he works well with youngsters
-
Unless TM gets us promoted, it's time for him to move on I don't mean that in a callous way, he's done some excellent work at the club, but it's really time for a change! The team needs reinvigorating and fresh new ideas brought to the table As for who next then! Well that's the conundrum isn't it and the reason why so many would just prefer to stick with Mowbrays relatively safe hands. It took the owners the best part of 5 years and half a dozen mostly disastrous attempts before they found a respectable manager in Mowbray

And i probably wont be, nor will the thousands of season tkt holders that have faded away, we need an inspirational charismatic manager to bring some positivity back to match days, Mowbray ran out of ideas about 3 years ago, if it wasn't for Breretons suprise freak goal streak we'd be rooted in the bottom half -
never been able to get into any of those harry palmer films for some reason

I doubt that many people actually really care about it though, i think it's more just one of those shows old people flick on out of habit, same with pretty much everything on channel 5! That channel was lame when it first started and it's barely improved since

Come on neighbours should have ended circa 2000 and it was still well past its late 80s-early 90s prime then. Now to get rid of all the god awful soaps! It amazes me people still choose to watch absolute garbage like Eastenders when there are literally hundreds of better things they could choose to watch. Most of those shows peaked in the late 80s - mid 90s when they had good writers and actors involved, but they've just been regurgitating the same story lines ever since and they get weaker and weaker each time and the acting and dialogue is just plain poor.

There's so little between most teams in this league tha it would be pretty much 50/50 whoever we got and sorry to be a misery but I wouldn't be especially excited about facing any of the teams, I'd just want us to win(obviously) and get it out of the way so the fun can really start! Then we can look forward to at least one season out of this dreary fkin league. -

Well I hope you filled your boots and made the most of that "progress" because once Lenihan, Nyambe, Rothwell, Brereton, Van Hecke... and whoever else! leave in the summer we wont be left with much of a starting 11 at all.
