Yet you seemingly want their most recent appointment here for at least as long as they are.
-
It's not though is it. You are basically saying that whilst Venkys are here (which could be a long time) that he should be manager. What success?
-
Honestly I think the only thing keeping him here is the good pay packet he is picking up which will probably his last big one before retirement. He looked like a man tonight who had no interest whatsoever and would rather have been anywhere else.
-
So would you give him a contract for life?
-
Nonsense, its Branthwaite and Gallagher's fault. Branthwaite get's caught under the ball so Lenihan has to go in and cover him and then Nyambe does what any good full back does and covers Lenihan by tracking Barkhuizen. If he doesn't track him then they roll the ball into him and he is through one on one. Gallagher then has to be tracking back Cunningham and covering Nyambe.

One side looked like they turned up to play in a local derby the other looked like they were just going through the motions. Preston from start to finish wanted it more they pressed all over the pitch they got stuck in and come the end if anything 1-2 flattered us. If anything summed up Rovers lack of urgency and that they were going through the motions it was the last seconds of the game where Lenihan miss controlled it, took 2 touches, looked up and then decided to launch it into the box as the ref blew for full time. I thought Ched Evans was exceptional for them, he was look a mobile Danny Graham. How we miss him. The whole defence was shocking. Lenihan back to his worst and as a result the defence looked a shambles, Nyambe was about the best of a bad bunch and Douglas poor again the contrast between the two left backs tonight was stark. Branthwaite had a nightmare. He was a liability under the high ball and cost us two goals. That's the problem with loaning a young lad who has been mainly playing kids football, the emphasis there is on passing and keeping the ball on the floor. He won't have come up against a side putting the ball in the air to some big physical men very often. Look at the difference tonight between Branthwaite a young kid on loan and Lindsay a loan player who has played plenty of senior football. Travis was a real disappointment bullied by their midfield, Davenport I thought was one of the better performers first half and was surprised to see him subbed. Rothwell was awful there is just no consistency with him at all its 1 good game followed by 4 or 5 bad ones. The situation with Gallagher at right back was farcical and summed up a manager that has lost the plot but the whole situation came from the fact that he has to give Bellis game time. Really in the last 2 games we haven't needed to bring a centre back on at full back as we have been chasing the game but to keep Man City happy he has done it twice. It was exactly the same with the subs as the weekend just throw on attacker after attacker on and hope they create a moment of magic to bail him out. But we ended up with no midfield to create anything the attackers were in the box and we kept putting balls in there but by that time we had taken our 6ft 3 attacker off. Just no thinking or structure behind his subs whatsoever, it was a horrible mess.

Has anyone any idea what he actually does? We have conceded again from a set piece but he has already previously said he doesn't do the work on set pieces. When asked about the formation before the game tonight he said he doesn't worry about formations and 'let's see what happens.' During the game whilst Neil was bellowing orders down on the touchline and giving his subs instructions he was just sat in his seat in the dugout looking like a cast member from The Night of the Living Dead. As for the subs made, they must surely have been drawn out of a hat by someone.

Get Branthwaite off at half time. He's been a liability under the high ball and has cost us two goals. Well he's right on one thing we certainly aren't doing anything special.

National league and North and South

Clubs are now going to be sanctioned for not playing. The National League continue to disgrace themselves, it's almost as though they want clubs to go under. These tossers in suits who run the game really are complete jobsworths with no feeling whatsoever for the game and they are presiding over a complete and utter shambles. -

Championship Season 2020 - 2021

Very good win for Brentford. Those top 3 look well away now from the chasing pack. -
Because England have to win 3 of these 4 tests in order to reach the Test Championship final.
-
England should still win the game comfortably but it was very negative captaincy from Root. Firstly not to enforce the follow on but then to carry on batting for so long into the evening session.

National league and North and South

Clubs at step 1 and 2 have been badly let down by both the National League and the government. The whole situation is a complete mess but the least worst decision would be to vote to null and void the season. I sincerely hope that clubs vote to do that otherwise the mess is only going to get bigger and I would really fear for the future of some clubs. -
You keep saying this but you haven't.

Do you think we should have loaned him out in January? -
Only one manager out of Mowbray and Bowyer took us to League 1. Also only one of them guided us to successive top 9 finishes in the Championship.
