  1. The biggest indictment there could possibly be about Mowbray's five-year tenure at the club is that there even exists a "Kean v Mowbray" debate to be had! That truly says it all!!!!!!!! Kean was terrible. Mowbray MUST be truly SHIT to be anywhere near his name EVER! Get TM out Venky's for the love of God. Just pay him off, he wants it as bad as any fan!!!
  2. Great post Bazza, but I have to disagree with this part...they do have a clue what they're doing. They know exactly what they're doing and it works for them. For over a decade now. Hence groundhog day every bloody season. It's us lot who still haven't got a clue what they are bloody well doing and why!!!!
  3. It's like what happens in any workplace when you no longer believe in the direction of where the place is going and no longer believe the crap the management comes out with. So, what do you do? Well, you either move to a better workplace or you stay and just do your job by turning up but doing nothing more. No extra mile, no overtime or so on. They all seem like they're clocking in and, by the time they clock out, they feel the same whether we've lost, won or drawn. Does anyone see a squad inspired, buying into the manager's vision, fighting for each other and putting in the proverbial 110%? Look at us tracking back, look at the animation (or lack of it) on the touchline, listen to every excuse in the book. It's been time to make a change for so long now that it's just become groundhog day. We're on the road to nowhere.
  4. We just lost at home to Morecambe. Hard to see that same set of players (+ Ayala) then going to The Den and getting anything. Only hope; We did somehow win during the greatest of all Mowbray Death Spirals last year. Talk about clutching at straws, but it's all I have right now.
  5. It really won't, you know. What were we at one stage last season? One win in 15 or something?

  7. The International Video Pass is £170. https://www.rovers.co.uk/videos
  8. Waggott and Mowbray will be here at the end of the season with new contracts until 2024. We'll finish 20th, not bad seeing as our Player of the Season Ben Brereton Diaz will be sold for 6million in the January transfer window. The happy clappers will say it's a great deal for the club as, even though we paid more than that for him, he was crap most of the time under Mowbray. Championship winners? Dunno. Will go for Boro in a bit of a surprise as they show us what a real manager can do for a club, over a decade after Venkys sacked our last real manager.
  9. I tell you what...it's a good job we got this John Park as Head of Recruitment fella in or we wouldn't have any signings to celebrate so far*! * - Wait, hang on a minute...😐 🤨😄
  10. No reason to think the Coventrio have given up on that idea for good, they even have a new mate in as head of recruitment, will he be big on retaining the academy?!?
  11. Is it true that they "put their hand in their pockets"? Or do they just add it as debt to BRFC, hence why it remains as debt on the club? Does it actually come from them, or in forms of loans from the bank? Not sure they're checking for loose change down the back of the sofa, like...
  12. It could be the rebirth of the club. Blackpool and Bolton fans have shown that their is life after a mess of ownership.
  13. Venky's are happy with this model, hence they keep doing it. They're obviously getting something from this setup...we just have no proof as to what that is. Why do they pump in this money? It's clear that a championship club need not have the expenditure that we have. So why is the expenditure so much? Where is it going to? How is this benefitting the Venkys? Does being in the EFL allow for lesser scrutiny than being in the Prem would? Do they receive some spectacular tax benefits back in India over this? For such 'badly advised' rich people, they seem happy enough to merrily keep on doing the same thing again and again with the same results. They must be getting something from the current status quo...
  14. Well said. I think quite a few of us feel like this. I'd had reservations about Mowbray before of course, but last season it seemed like we had a squad to challenge. Even until Christmas it looked like with Dack returning we'd just be getting stronger, maybe even a couple of additions in the January transfer window... Then it just went off a cliff. One win in 15 with Dack's ACL gone again, players leaving but nobody much coming in yet...all while Blackburn was one the Covid hotspots in the country. Area and club; each have had a shocking 2021!
  15. Wasn't really the goals conceded last season, we only conceded four more than Barnsley in the playoffs. More that we couldn't break teams down in tight games. The Stoke away game being the prime example, our only chances being Armstrong's 28 or so shots from 50 yards out. Our goals scored column looks great, but it was heavily stacked thanks to some thrashings of down-to-ten-men teams in turmoil.
  16. Agree that that bit jarred, but I think his point he was trying to make was that Venky's would ruin it for any good manager, rather than Mowbray is as good as any manager. Don't agree with his point, though. Other managers could do better with our squad than Tony. Even under Venkys. Not sure that many could have done worse last season, tbh. Even Owen bloody Coyle would have had us in a similar position with that squad!!! The football would have been better to watch, too...
  17. "Badly advised"? For way over a whole decade now? Come on. The example you yourself mention about this poor advice is from 2010!!! When results still do not happen and relegation happens then heads roll in business. They understand business. You don't need "football knowledge" as another poster put it, to read a table. You don't need to know sport to know that winning games is better than losing them. It isn't a hard concept to grasp. If they were being badly advised they'd have woken up to this eventually and sacked those advising them. They'd have tried different approaches. They'd have listened to those who reached out to them. But they don't. They didn't sack Kean. They ignore all attempts to reach out to them. They keep the Coventrio on. The badly advised line worked for a while but it's turned into groundhog day and it's not convincing. Some of our fans made up their minds about this badly advised line in 2011 and have stuck to their guns ever since, adhering the sunk cost logical fallacy approach. Why are they badly advised, anyway? We have no evidence to show that they give too much of a crap about our league position. They bought us as a longstanding top-flight club, after all. Exactly WHAT do they care about when it comes to our club...?!?! It sure as heck ain't success on the pitch. But badly advised as the excuse for over a decade of hands-off management and continuing underachievement? Really strains at one's credulity to think they can be "badly advised" continuously for 11 whole years and counting...
  18. There are some of these happy clappers on here every time we are doing ok, attacking any fans with a more balanced view. During the lean times (i.e., the last six months) they have rarely changed their minds but instead just lie low until they can once again pipe up as if nothing has happened. Their modus operandi tends to be to randomly attack other supporters who do not agree with them, as if they are the self-styled defenders of Blackburn Rovers Football Club. This section of our support will always be there and we will almost certainly never be fully "united". It didn't happen in the darkest days of Kean, it won't happen anytime short of the threat of dissolution a la Bury FC. It's just the way some people are. They will support the club to a fault. Other fans are far too critical far too quickly. It's just the diversity of any group, you'll get outliers in each. More important is to focus on the majority opinion. So, this being "united"...it's not worth waiting for as it's like Waiting for Godot. Not gonna happen. Fans should do whatever they can when they feel the time is right, not when some "Get behind the club, FFS, you're not a proper fan" brigade finally have a lightbulb go off above their heads when we're in administration.
  19. Mowbray's mate would hardly be coming if Tony was thinking of leaving any time soon. New contract arriving soon. Not a cat in hell's chance TM will run down his current deal and do one in the next year.
  20. I'm no fan of Tony Pulis or Pulisball, but he'd still represent a massive improvement on Honest Tone. Look how long he lasted in the top flight with various clubs compared to Our Tone. With a cup final and Europa League cup run thrown in too, what's been our best cup run under Tony? I can't even remember having any that lasted beyond a couple of rounds... It'd have to be pretty bad (Kean, Coyle) territory to a be step down, tbh. Even then at least it'd be a change after those dire death spiral runs of his tenure at Ewood. The one thing we used to be able to say as a Rovers fan under the Venkys is that at least it was never boring. Alas, our time under Mowbray means that now at least it's never anything but boring. MowbrayTedium2021-22 coming your way soon...
  21. Suppose if they're including loan players then it's getting close to that number. Elliot + Harwood Bellis + Douglas + Branthwhaite + Bell + Holtby + Downing + Evans + Bennett = 9. EDIT - Forgot Trybull, there's your ten.
  22. Have to say, it's a lot more fun following Brereton playing for Chile this summer than it ever has been following him play for Rovers these past three years! 😀
