  1. and of course agree on the closure of the Blackburn End being a disgrace. Lovely 'F U' from the club to the fans!
  2. Got to agree on the bin liners for the terribly done ROVERS in the Darwen End too. Tacky and crap. Like most on first viewing I naturally presumed they'd installed some white seating to do a smart job of it but of course not.... absolutely laughable it's still there!
  3. Whoever's behind the idea needs sacking, it really is as simple as that IMO. Before someone says that's an overreaction, I don't mean for the action alone but whoever is behind the idea is so out of touch they are forming a rotten part of the football club and it will continue.
  4. It's poor for the players too and generally unnecessarily embarrassing for the fans but that is Waggott... Unnecessary and embarrassing.
  5. It's wild that people still think if we were to cash in on a player we'd make a promotion push. It's like our fans are a bunch of goldfish. Getting pretty annoying actually. How many decades more of this ownership do you need to realise they'll NEVER execute your ambition as a fan?
  6. Nice to see some truth. No thanks to Steve! They are in hot water.
  7. I think we as fans have shown Venky's it's fine to turn the tap off and starve a good manager of reasonable resource. The message is if you do the bare minimum we are happy, happy and grateful to still be able to watch Rovers. The reality is a good manager won't be. I know how this ends and hopefully the rest of the fanbase does too... underachievement, wasted academy products and the manager moving on. All we are left with is a CEO who's happy to cover it up, mid-table mediocrity, the occasional relegation and a new bus. Without a real explanation from India through the club that they own, I think I'm done for a while.
  8. How do Venky's keep getting away with it... do we have the kindest fans in football?
  9. Got to agree and you have to start asking when are we going to try and achieve something again as a football club...? Right now with the interest the owners are showing, or lack of, there is a real feeling of what's the point!
  10. Usual story, the whole team is doing fine against a good side but is lacking that cutting edge from a number of forward positions... VENKY'S ... BACK BROUGHTON AND THE MANAGER! A couple of injuries to that defence too and we're done.
  11. In Ennis's defence, he took a bit of a clattering whilst trying to turn in a rebound vs Hull. Doesn't surprise me it caused a bit of damage to his knee.
  12. Before over analysing the tactics I would take a look at the player resources being made available to our manager... or lack of. It's appalling and he's working miracles with some poor players that are still having to start. We very nearly beat a team with 1 extra player 3-1 on a transfer budget of pretty much £0. We only paid a fee for 5 of our starting XI today... and not one loan player in the squad. Hull were able to cycle through Estupinan, Delap and Connolly up front today + Twine. They won because their £1.3m spent on a striker made the difference... sometimes that's all it takes. If you gave Tomasson that amount in 4 positions I think we'd go up. ST, LB, CB, RW. Waggott and Venky's out!!
  13. That second goal is horrific from Carter, so slow, and a bizarre bit of goalkeeping. The Pickering mess looks as bad on a replay as it did in person, amateur stuff. What an idiot. Signings are needed!!!
  14. He probably didn't expect our defence to start acting like opposition forwards aren't allowed to run after footballs.
  15. It’s not difficult is it, we all saw last year what was needed. A better left back was up there… and here we are still. Not the first time a simple ball in the air has confused Pickering and caused a calamity, and it won’t be the last! The manager isn’t being backed at all.
  16. Thought it was a superb finish from Hirst.
  17. The frustration is coming from the multiple step overs and twirls without ever really getting anywhere. It looks a complete waste of energy and stood out on the day as a total contrast to Girona's wingers who were so simply effective with their directness and pace. He also uses his teammates runs as a decoy too often without gaining much ground himself... leaving them equally frustrated. Overall he's a frustrating watch and I'd imagine at times frustrating to play with. I think you can guess the word I'd use to best describe Dolan... Sh*t
  18. I enjoyed it, he moved the ball quickly, neat and tidy passing forward and likes to win it back. Better on the ball than Travis. I could see him and Travis sitting deeper in behind Wharton being a useful trio but possibly not what we have in mind...

  20. For me it's... Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town and Tina Turner - The Best
  21. Really glad we don't have to watch players like this anymore... and it all comes down to who's in charge. A decent manager would have recognised Duffy shouldn't have been anywhere near the team that day.
  22. It's an unusual choice of sponsor for any sports team and I thought it would be temporary. The CEO doesn't come out of this well once again, since it completely exposes the no betting and no gambling moral high ground as purely a commercial move likely aimed at the muslim community. The impression I get about Waggott is... predictable twirp with little footballing morals.
  23. Hope that's true! Wanted a black away kit for years.
