Yep I'm in no way attacking the Trust here, just seeking clarity and asking the question; Are they pulling in the same direction as the rest of us? If not, why not? We've been talking about what their stance is for years now, this shouldn't be a hard thing to communicate. As a paying member, I feel absolutely zero engagement from them. This should be taken as what it is - constructive feedback.

You can certainly carry a tune riversider. The Ruts - Staring At The Rude Body -
They need to communicate this to the membership. We've been asking this question for literally years. As a member, my opinion is that the only interaction we should be having with the owners is assisting with the transition to a new ownership (chucking their shit out of Ewood and Brockhall).

They'd have been better to just keep shut. They've called the bluff of the fanbase one too many times and I think this time it's not going to work. Out of curiosity, how did you do that? I'm not in any way a tech person.

Venky’s & Waggott Out Protest Ideas
Upside Down replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Just woke up and read the club's response. As expected by everyone, it was totally insulting and said absolutely nothing at the same time. Absolutely hilarious. A massive own goal. It goes to show just how thick they are that they've called our bluff. It won't work this time. -
This is the crux of the issue. What is the stance of WATR? This isn't a difficult thing to communicate.

Can someone give some clarification about whether the trust are a part of the recent protest movements against the club or not? @TheRoversGRL This is that communication we've been talking about...

From the sound of it that's the case for most of these players. -

Attaching this for use in anything that's being done. Needs updating with the last 12 months, but I don't have the time so I'll leave that up to someone else to take over. PM me for any questions or any other documents I have. Timeline.xlsx -

Without their shields they'll be fully exposed. -
As @wilsdenrover said, the court case was brought about by venkys challenging the ED's decision to not grant them a No Objection Certificate. Since that all started they've sold the house and it appears they've been given permission to send an extra £15 million. I'm assuming this is just sitting in the VLL account until they've run out of money at the club. What you say about kickbacks, inflated contracts and agent fees all seems to be a likely scenario. We know for a fact that they've done a lot of that in the past. When you read about money laundering in football, this is generally how it's done. From day one they've been doing this stuff and they only tightened things up once the investigation was underway. There's a case to be made for them being just disinterested in the club but that doesn't explain all the involvement with corrupt agents and corrupt organisations like Kentaro. Throw into that the investigation and a different sort of picture starts to emerge. Since day one there's always been something dodgy about their presence here, what you say about the way they've financed this whole operation seems more than plausible, although I'm not any kind of specialist on how the Indian finance system works. There seems to have been enough pressure on them to sell the house so maybe the pressure could get to the point whereby they have to sell the club to relieve it. We as fans can play our part in building up that pressure by getting them in the spotlight.

That's not how things work though. If you sell more tickets you've got more people there for repeat business, selling pints, pies, shirts etc. In short, you make more money by selling more tickets. You do need to have the most basic understanding of consumer economics and as is so blindingly evident, not one single person who works for the venky organisation possess such attributes.

Interesting how we have two heads and the owners two hats 🤠 🤠 -
When they sell I will actively make the effort to come back, but until that time they can do one.

I could have managed that team to at least the semis in those competitions. When they got to the finals they were totally outclassed and outfoxed tactically. That game against Spain was embarrassing. Men against boys from the first whistle.

Mods, any chance we can pin this post in this thread?

Essentially, if you buy a season ticket then you're consenting to venky's destruction of the club. Just my opinion of course.
-
The problem that exists in English football is a systemic lack of tactical understanding of the game. That's what separates the big European nations from England. It's not just about being able to play and control the ball, it's where you're playing it to and why. This is the reason why England fail as a nation and why there's never been a single English manager to even win the top division in this country since 1993.
-
That's at least £150 too much to sit in the decaying remanence of the Riverside.
-
To put it bluntly, If you don't like the price of the season ticket then don't buy one. Keep your money and vote with your feet. Don't buy one then spend the rest of the time bitching about it, buy paying the price they've set you have consented to the price.
