It's the same as with the players who played for England. They were allowed to wear the England badge as an honour of being an international player. This whole Maltese cross garbage has become the gospel now because it would take a cursory five minutes to read through some of the actual history to understand why one or two players had that on their shirts in the earliest photo. Notice that not all the players have that badge on their shirts. As with anything at venky Rovers, even putting in a derisory amount of effort is deemed to be too much. The Maltese cross is cheap, easy and can be generated by AI in a few seconds. An actual commemorative badge would take effort and care along with the most basic understanding of the club history. -

They will deliberately let Ewood Park fall into a state of disrepair and then sell it off as they move towards a ground sharing agreement with Clitheroe or someone similar. They've already deliberately relegated both the men's and women's teams this season. I'm sure some walnut brained troglodytes will applaud the move coming out with the usual guff "wot duu uww oxpikt wiiii iz o smoll tuwn klu6". Fuck venkys, kentaro, SEM and fuck anyone who supports them in any way. Absolute cunts. -

Yes, I agree with you completely. -
This bollocks will have been deliberately spread out there by those in power to find leaks and to try and make the fans look like mugs. Heavens forbid they should put the same amount of energy into just doing a moderately competent job running the club. The fact that this was believable says everything really.

It doesn't align with party policy. In one season they've deliberately relegated both the men's and women's teams. That's quite an achievement even for them. -
https://www.business-standard.com/finance/news/indian-banks-write-off-rs-1-7-trillion-in-loans-in-fy24-shows-govt-data-124112601126_1.html @Herbie6590 I think this is it.

It's in relation to an article posted on here a couple of weeks ago about how the Indian banks would loan large sums of money to wealthy individuals or companies for whatever reason and then when things came to a head they would just write off the debt. I'll have a look at seeing if I can find it again as it was an interesting read. Pure corruption obviously, but you'd have to have the naivety of a toddler to not think that's the sort of world venkys operate in. As for them being just the face of ownership, the last 15 years has had enough mental shit happening to suggest this is at least a possibility.

"Only two and a half more years to go. Come on Val, you can do this, just think of the money." -
But Britain arms, supports and enables all of these regimes. Especially Saudi Arabia. In fact the only reason it is Saudi Arabia and not just Arabia is because of Britain and the US. I'm hoping this discussion doesn't get nuked because it's a crucial element of this overall discussion here. Personally I wouldn't take Saudi blood money but I wouldn't take the US blood money either. My main gripe with players in the Saudi pro league is the same as it is with other leagues of a similar format and that is they are tinpot and Mickey Mouse. If you don't have proper relegation and promotion then it's not a proper league system in my opinion. I am glad to see Buckley doing well though, hopefully he can use this as a platform to get a gig at a proper club and play in a proper league.

Yeah that's not the same person. That's like talking about Steve Waggot and then bringing up Steve Winwood's CV. -

What can be done when you actually give a fuck. -
May as well do it now. Personally I think the game is shit and boring with more than 3 substitutions. 'Competitive' games now are essentially just glorified friendlies.

Nobody who has any shred of intelligence comes out with this stuff. Just brainless venky bots. -
Agreed, with the exception of a number 9 and number 10 because they both played as part of a front 2 (oohhh how uncouth), numbers were never used to describe a players position. At least not that I can remember. It's now become en vogue to use numbers for every possible position on the pitch. The people who have brought on this trend just look like a bunch of complete clowns though because 1. They use the wrong numbers for the wrong position. 2. Show me a team in the last 20 years that lined up 1-11. 3. If you want to say defensive midfielder, just fucking say defensive midfielder! You're not clever because you have coined some bullshit term for something that's existed for 150+ years, you're just a twat. 4. In years gone by teams were far more rigid in their setup so you could expect to see the guy wearing number 4 to be a defensive mid, the guy wearing number 5 to be a centre back, 7 & 11 on the wing etc but football hasn't been like that since the early 2000s at the very latest. Formations change, player's roles change and the tactics have changed, a lot. Remember when Jose gave a central defender the number 9 jersey? If 6 was 9 eh.

The date for the venky era is wrong. We were infected with them in 2010 and symptoms starting showing almost immediately. It is very important to emphasize how everything was going great right until we contracted the venky virus. November 2010 is when Blackburn Rovers ceased to exist and venky FC was born.

That article just confirms this. He categorically states that the river was not the issue, says that both the pitch and drainage are old and that the surface can't handle the rain. As with all of the problems faced, the club and owners are 100% to blame. Yes, 77mm of rain is a lot, but the technology and knowledge exists to be able to find a solution to this issue. Rovers are a multi million pound business supposedly owned by supposed billionaires so this should be a simple thing to deal with given that hosting football matches is quite important for a fucking football club. I haven't been in Blackburn for over 12 years but it is my understanding that there's been a huge amount of development happening around the area in the time I've been away. In short, thia means more hard surfaces discharging more water. I also gather that much of the consent for these developments has been attained with a brown envelope so I doubt there's very little if any requirements for stormwater management to prevent the local rivers from being swamped during heavy rain events. Granted, the club doesn't have much control over this but given their economic clout in the local area alone, they should be able to work with the council to find a solution to resolve or lessen the effect this issue has on the club. Factor in the climate change effect and this is only going to get worse. The location of Ewood Park means this is something that will affect Rovers so a proactive approach needs to be taken. Again, should be an easy ask for supposed billionaires that supposedly own a football club. Not to worry, I'm sure all their lies will solve the problems.
