We'll be lucky if Wharton's fit to start next season. JRC seems to have been injured a long while now. Who is this Ayala people are speaking of ? I can't see anything but a loss, unless they get a man sent off early on, then we should get a draw at least. I've seen some poor teams and bad players in our shirt over the years but I can't recall a more disorganised team ever. That includes the Kean and Coyle era. At least players were played in what was supposed to be their recognised positions and the teams had a shape, poor as it was. What I'm really tired of seeing is average teams doing us because they are better set up and are willing to work harder. That is getting really old. Unfortunately that is what I'm expecting tomorrow night. None of the teams in this league could hold a candle to the Fulham and Rovers teams of our last promotion season. -

I've seen genuine ability in flashes but not enough often enough. He's got to get on the ball more. They should show him old videos of Eyal Berkovic. He wasn't the most physical of players but he never shirked showing for a pass no matter where he was on the pitch or how tightly he was marked. -
To say he's a giant his heading of the ball is poor. Same goes for Brererton. Like lots of big lads, they've come up playing against smaller kids so their size was a big advantage. When they come up against blokes who can actually jump and know how to use their size those two are lost.

They could have declared on their overnight score and they would have still had enough runs.

Mowbrays Successor

Cheap skating on the manager is a real false economy. He's the most important person at the club, or he should be. -

£5m eh, that's a whole Gallagher or most of a Brererton. -

I was thinking that myself. The way we playing at the moment it's hard to see where the next win is coming from. -

If he wants to know the one thing that is holding Rovers back, just go into the bathroom and look into the mirror. -

10/10 Stuart. Being the only ones at the club who actually care is getting pretty tiring. -

Like when Ken Furphy came in. He had players coming and going on a daily basis. -
We need somebody with a back bone. My Rugby League team had a new player/coach a few years back. In his first game we played away at Featherstone. We hadn't won there since WW2 ! To cap it all he was a Featherstone lad. After about 5 minutes Fev scored a try and as our lot waited under the posts for the conversion he gathered all the players together. He said - " If you think we're going to spend the rest of the afternoon stood under these fucking posts you've got another think coming and those bastards over there have as well ! " We went on to win by a street !

They'll be more interested in the cricket. To be honest, so am I ! -
For me you either play him up front in a centre forward style role or you don't play him at all. The idea that his height is handy for defending set pieces doesn't outweigh his uselessness as a winger/fullback. Given the state of the pitch at the moment I'd be inclined to go full on ale house football and pair Gallagher and Armstrong up front and just go long ball most of the time.

Mowbray's " approval " rate must be at the Kean/Coyle level by now. -

Prior to the Chicken Chokers taking over none of our previous managers would have lasted anything like as long as Mowbray.
