  1. My error - Chorley should be split Rovers/PNE/Bolton.
  2. I've just dusted off and brought up to date from a few years ago a very rough estimate of both clubs' catchment areas. These are the places that locals could naturally gravitate to each club, not that they do. The LCC population estimate for 2021 has Burnley at 94,000 and Pendle at 96,000. I've then added a third of Hyndburn*, 28,000 and one third of Ribble Valley* 20,000. Total 238,000 before Rossendale. Blackburn has 150,000, plus one third of Hyndburn 28,000 and one third of Ribble Valley 20,000. Then another third of Chorley* 34,000 and a quarter of South Ribble* 28,000. Total 260,000 before Rossendale. I haven't included Rossendale's 71,000 as I don't know the area well enough to have a proper opinion, but my gut feeling, backed up by posts above, is there would naturally be more Burnley than Blackburn fans. My guess is therefore that the catchments are pretty much equal. * I split Hyndburn 3 ways - Rovers, Burnley and Stanley. Ribble Valley 3 ways - Rovers, Burnley and PNE Chorley 3 ways - Rovers, Burnley and Notlob. South Ribble 75% PNE and 25% Rovers.
  3. Unfortunately some of the fan base on both sides have an outer dickhead.
  4. Rod’s definitely a right winger.
  5. Trent Bridge was far from empty, a crowd of c10,000 in a 17,500 capacity stadium. Given there was virtually no publicity for the whole competition or the final itself it wasn't bad. The Kent support sounded loud mainly because they were all gathered in one place, whereas the Lancs support was spread out in pockets all around. They also had a bit more to sing about. I would say the support was probably 1/3rd for each side and 1/3rd neutrals. Whilst Lancs probably should have played Balderson rather than Jones on the day in truth the difference was the fielding, in particular Lancs dropping a string of catches. Whilst every team drops a catch or two and Lancs are not an outstanding fielding side they normally can be relied on to pick up a number of catches but they seemed to drop nearly everything yesterday. Kent also were continually lobbing the ball just out of reach of fielders, mostly good luck rather than good play. If they had just taken say 2 or 3 of the ones they dropped Kent would have scored well under 300 and the chase would have been that much easier. Still a great day out no matter the result, topped off with scoring somewhere to stay which was literally 250 feet from my seat in the ground, allowing a night out in the fleshpots of West Bridgford.
  6. Give over. They haven’t brought that in just for a midweek away game at Cardiff. I presume enough 1875 memberships have been sold for the club to distinguish based on when memberships were sold.
  7. As an aside Rovers will be playing a game in every midweek between 1st October except the one in the school half term week.
  8. Sorry Matty - I was adding tomorrow's game in as well. Next time I'll try actually reading your post!
  9. I had a choice tomorrow between another trip to Luton after my first visit last season or a day out at a cup final with Lancs. Pretty easy choice really. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's game. It's good to see that both sides have stuck with the squada they have used throughout the tournament rather than adding in some of those involved in the 16.4.
  10. It's 13 Matty. Have you missed out the rearranged game at Wigan on 11/10?
  11. I see Brittain has been added to tomorrow's squad.
  12. 13 counting the cup game at West Ham.
  13. There seems to be a chance that Ecuador could be thrown out of this year's World Cup finals because they fielded an ineligible player in 8 qualifying matches. Chile have brought the case to FIFA and they might replace Ecuador if they are thrown out. But it might also be Peru that come in - there is currently no clarity. But it might mean that Ben might yet still be off to Qatar.
  14. What is best for Rovers from those two games are draws, preferably 0-0.
  15. Rovers have released an 18 game St package for the rest of the season - https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/september/14/rovers-release-18-game-package/ Headline prices £339 to £419 for adults
  16. I missed it too despite being right in front of me, but thankfully the ref didn't either, as we scored from the throw in we had instead.
  17. Whilst I agree with that as a general statement, last night it was a case of us completely dominating a pretty poor team.
  18. It's because it's on Sky red button, which some of other midweek games this season so far haven't.
  19. Except I'm not sure that they particularly want to win. They will be quite happy with a draw and a drawn series, which will strengthen their place in the Test final. It was widely rumoured that their refusal to play an extra day on Tuesday was more about not losing the test than wanting to get home.
  20. Unless you got an Advance ticket there should be no problem in getting your money back. And I don't think there are Advance tickets for such a short journey.
  21. I can't quite match that but I have been round to her place for drinks and a chat. Admittedly it was with about 500 others but it was still special. I was with a friend representing a charity we are both involved with and we spent the evening trying to chat up celebrities yo get them to do something for the charity - we nearly persuaded Prince Edward and Sophie. By the time we got to meet the Queen we had partaken quite a lot of her champagne so I hope that I didn't embarrass myself too much
  22. They can't be that good. QPR have beaten them and PNE, Birmingham, West Brom and Rotherham have all got draws. And Burnley probably shouldn't have lost to them.
  23. I think you'll find it in the We Did Warn You forum these days.
