  1. Don't see Keersmaecker happening now that we have Tavaras. Dan Gore, bloody hell. He has played 5 games in the last two seasons due to injury.
  2. I'm pretty sure they can't use that money for any transfers. Think whatever they send has to be documented, like x amount for wages etc
  3. If you put in a transfer you lose your "loyalty" payments if sold. It's only one year if needs be for Trav, Tronstad, Brittain and Hyam, they might aswell see it out if the offers to sell them don't come in now.
  4. We need to get moving on a centre half or two, as things stand we only have Hyam and Carter who are senior players with Wharton still not being ready.
  5. Plus Powell coming through who looks to be really good.
  6. Oldham have got to play Stanley in a preliminary game to qualify for the 1st round, due to half the Prem being in Europe and not playing until the 3rd round.
  7. Ha, just going off the pecking order of last season I could see it being that. VI comments about Montgomery certainly seem to suggest he will be in and around the squad this season. But if pre season is genuinely a clean slate then who knows Garrett might nudge above him again, I don't think there's much between either of them really from what I have seen.
  8. I imagine the 1.7m is made up of adds on that will never happen, like promotion etc. It will be low fee up front like 400-800k, going off history of the last couple of years.
  9. Maybe when Sid signs, they are 90% done?!
  10. Think in an ideal world you need 5 central midfielders. Trav, Tronstad, Big Sid, Montgomery and Forshaw seems a sensible balance, 3 starters that will be rotated to suit, a young lad coming through and an experienced head for when times need it. I still expect Trav or Tronstad to leave, I think Trav goes this window and Tronstad leaves on a free next summer.
  11. June 2027 like everyone else, bar De Neve, O'Riordan and Atcheson.
  12. Bit overkill having a barbecue each day.
  13. Well obviously that's what we have to do. As things stand right now, just over a week from returning to pre season training, we are weaker than last season. I will be amazed if that isn't also the case some September 1st.
  14. Yeah but Duru, Garrett, & O'Riordan are back. Like new signings.
  15. Absolutely. I haven't been a fan of him really since he was appointed, and a 6 game good run at the end of the season hasn't really changed my mind either. Lets see how he goes next season, unfortunately for him I think he will be hampered with a weaker squad than he has had this season. My point being you can't make a holier than thou comment like the above because people are frustrated about us not offering him a proper deal when you have been guilty of a swing of opinion many times in the past.
  16. Only a few months ago you wanted Ismael removing from his position immediately, now you're in his biggest fan. Folk can change there minds as they want, as you have done in the past.
  17. Something doesn't add up there. They will have to have made Dolan a contract offer on at least the same terms as he's on now by a deadline, think it's the same deadline as when they have to tell the players there decision if they are to be retained or not. Or we don't get compo if he moves to somewhere in this country. So I imagine we have offered him a token contract, and then maybe we'll throw something in as a last ditch attempt when he signs for someone else do they can turn around and say "we tried!".
  18. Fantasy land that Chaddy. We spent the whole of last summer looking for "experienced" competition for Pears and ended up with someone we never heard of on deadline day, who probably had a similar amount to Pears. This lot won't pay for an experienced keeper to sit on the bench when we have several 20 something keepers on the books who can do that. Results secondary as ever, getting a squad as cheap as possible the only aim I think its quite clear that neither are up to it, but when has that been a concern here? They are cheap and I fully expect one of them to be on the bench next season and them praying that nothing happens to Toth. Michelski at 18 needs a season playing football, whether that's as our first choice under 21 keeper or we can get him a starting position in the National League/League 2. I know I have form for this, but I have never been so confident in my words "that isn't going to happen" as I am here. Sagnan, De Keersmaecker, Kapuadi and now Antman. Genuinely think someone at the club is leaking these names to Elliot, Bailey etc so they can play the line that "we had some ambitious targets but couldn't quite them done, here's a few kids from Brighton and Liverpool instead".
  19. Replacement is already here I imagine, with Barrett and Goddard signing new deals. Both would need registering this season as over 21, so that would be our 3 keepers I think. Michelski as Under 21's first choice.
  20. BBC Lancs are reporting that the Women will play there home games at Clitheroe next season.
  21. Split into North and South for the first two rounds.
  22. Eiran Cashin is leaving Brighton on loan apparently. Left footed centre back who they bought from Derby 6 months ago. With our relationship with Brighton, and it being a position that we need I could see us going for him. Also kicks the can down the road for a permanent signing back there which they love to do.
