  1. Need to pretend that they have listened to both sides before announcing.
  2. Decision won't be for a few days yet.
  3. Probably need another day or two to convince us that they looked at every other option before deciding to replay it.
  4. If the council had just rerouted the river like Suhail asked we wouldn't be in this mess.
  5. Said a few times in this very thread. Decision was made Saturday night IMO, and everything else is just going through the motions to look like they have taken everything into account.
  6. Radio Lancs said it on Saturday. I'm not 100% sure that's correct to be honest.
  7. What is the logic in that out of interest? Everything else is like the game never happened, yet all cards remain. It's beyond stupid, in my opinion.
  8. After this week, there are only 3 free midweeks until January, one to be taken up by the rearranged ipswich game.
  9. If it's happened before, like back in 2017 when Coventry were beating Rotherham 1-0 in the 85th minute for it to be abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch, then it will be happen here. Any talk of giving us the win or playing 10 minutes 11 v 10 is just fantasy land talk.
  10. The one up by the Manxman doesn't open on a Saturday apparently!
  11. In good from Charlton. Our lads will all be flued up from Saturday and feeling sorry for themselves as they will have to replay the game. Charlton 2 Rovers 0
  12. Untrue, and is a danger of taking AI as gospel as it's not always correct. Here is one example - https://www.theguardian.com/football/2004/dec/13/newsstory.sport4
  13. Just feeling, I just don't see anything else
  14. I believe the decision to replay it has already been made. Just going through the motions listening to both clubs before making it official. There is no way anything but a full replay happens, they won't want to set any kind of precedence.
  15. Just incredibly bad luck unfortunately. Time to act like a grown up and accept that it's the correct call and that players safety has to come first, from someone who was on the pitch and not sitting in a covered stand. Even our ex pro ref on here said it was the correct call.
  16. We have 3 midweeks available before Christmas to fit the game in. W/c 27th October W/c 1st December W/c 15th December Think there is some odd rule, although not 100%, that it needs to be completed before the return fixture in January.
  17. Yesterday proved that Gardner-Hickman should he starting every day over Taveres.
  18. Then thats what happens unfortunately, one of those things completely out of anyone's control at the time of happening. If you have played the game and couldn't see that the pitch was getting dangerous then that concerns me to be honest. As ever, player safety should be the first concern. We won't be awarded the win. It's just a very unfortunate event and terrible luck on our part. Im as annoyed as anyone about it all, but any reasonable person could see that it was the correct decision at the time the ref called it.
  19. Not much faith in your Rovers team if you automatically think we'll suffer a heavy defeat in the replay. Again your only saying see the game out because we were winning. It was clear the pitch was unplayable when the ref called it, as annoying as it is for us. You can tell you have never played the game, there was a disastrous injury waiting to happen in those conditions. I dont particularly want the game replaying to be honest, and for me they should play the remainder of the game behind closed doors with the score and man advantage still in tact, but they won't as its never happened before in this country.
  20. Again mr thumbs down, would you have wanted the game to continue if the roles were reversed? You would have been the first to say calling it off was the correct decision, and you know it.
  21. To be fair Chaddy, you are exactly the same. If Ipswich had been winning 1-0 and we had been down to 10 men, you would be saying that calling it off was the correct call. And please don't say that you wouldnt.
  22. Yeah there's no reason why they couldn't order the game to restart in the 80th minute at 1-0 Rovers against 10 men. Zero chance they will though.
  23. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2004/dec/13/newsstory.sport4 Happened in Spain once (not weather related but still abandoned) and they managed to just to play the rest of the game. Why should it be unworkable here?
  24. McKenna has spoken to "Town TV" i watched it earlier and he clearly said "when we're back here in a few weeks". It's clear there is no decision to be made and that it will just be replayed.
