  1. At any other club yes. Here though? Communication is non existent so no, it isn't.
  2. Surely this would be ideal to trial for the Bradford and Bolton games since Rovers fans aren't allowed to go?
  3. Alternate ones will probably just be applicable if needed, like if the decide to go for a Navy Blue away shirt one season or something.
  4. With all due respect, its a bit different being immense in a competitive league like the Championship than it is at Fylde in a half hearted pre season friendly. I really do hope I eat my words, but if we're relying on him coming good and staying injury free this season I think we're in for a struggle. As has been said, surely the sensible option is to see how he gets on for a season in the league below before we thrust him in?
  5. Doesn't matter, he still hasn't played. Back injuries at that age isn't a good sign. Don't doubt he is talented, but I would be amazed if he succeeds here.
  6. Butterworth is nearly 22 and hasn't started a game of professional league football yet. Not a chance he makes it at Rovers.
  7. Just read an article in the LET saying that the Bolton game, as well as the Bradford game will be home fans only.
  8. Isn't that just a "reserve" freindly similar to the one we played at Darwen yesterday? Can't imagine Kaminski, Armstrong, etc lining up in that one.
  9. Also about how the players took turns on being on the bench, he thought it was ridiculous and any position on the pitch/bench should be earned on merit.
  10. Yeah he is, he's on that behind the scenes video at one point boring them all in a circle.
  11. I cant imagine we'll reinvest the money anyway. Probably go to running costs, maybe a contract extension or two? Be amazed if we pay a transfer fee for anyone this summer regardless if Armstrong goes.
  12. Think our game for Fylde is much bigger than the Barnsley game, Local game, Saturday afternoon. Maybe it was a case of they couldn't afford to do it for both games and it made sense to keep the bigger one on. I think it will go ahead.
  13. Isn't this just because this game is before the July 19th date of restrictions ending?
  14. Unfortunately with the way our club is set up the finance man probably works for Mowbray.
  15. Maybe not brainless, but the money (probably more than he has been able to command from anywhere else) and the easy life under "results don't matter Mowbray" must be appealing to a young lad for 12 months.
  16. More likely to be Chapman through the middle and Gallagher still lumbering up and down the wing to be honest. Anyway, if he makes more than 5 starts over the season I'll be amazed.
  17. The only one I see talking the club down on a regular basis is Mowbray. "Not 1995" "Shearer and Sutton aren't here anymore" etc, etc. In his mind he would have us think we should be grateful that he's here as the club couldn't possibly survive without him. The comments in here are very valid, we are a shambles and a shell of what Blackburn Rovers should be.
  18. I wouldn't expect any signings that quick to be honest. I make this the 6th transfer window in a row that we need a centre half on a permanent deal. I don't expect we'll get one though, I Imagine we'll go through pre season with Lenihan, Ayala, Carter and Magliore, then we'll ship one of them off on loan towards the end of the window while bringing in the next PL Top 4 "wonderkid", then we'll hail Wharton's return as "like a new signing". All very predictable.
  19. Think Rich Sharpe stated a while ago when he was first called up that the international clause in there wasn't specific to nationality. Whether he knew or was just speculating though who knows.
  20. Back to Armstrong, this is going to drag on for ages isn't it before he signs for someone in the same league, Fulham or WBA maybe?
  21. Yep I can see that, although with a much, much lower match going fanbase.
  22. Listened to that earlier, Downing wasn't very complimentary of Mowbray and some of his methods. They are mates too, Christ knows what the rest of the lads think of him.
  23. Think this is one of the biggest Rovers myth's that fans (especially fans that probably dont get to go to Ewood much) seem to fall for that folk were against Brereton or wanted him to fail, or booed him at his every touch etc. Sure he got a few groans when mis placing a pass or missing a chance, but no more than any other player gets. Throughout his time here I can only recall a handful of boo's directed towards him when he was substituted from a 500ish following at Brum in the FA Cup season before last. I was near the front and heard them, a couple of mates were up at the back and didn't hear anything. Was probably about 10 "lads". The relief and emotion from the whole stadium was probably the best moment of that season when he scored against Bolton. There does seem to be a small portion of our fanbase that point the finger at anything that goes wrong towards the fans though which I just find very strange.
  24. Unthinkable 12 months ago, and I'm still not convinced he's that good but BBD could really be on the verge of becoming a huge cult hero for the club in the next 12 months or so. Wouldn't surprise me though if someone took a punt on him this summer though especially if he scores a few more in the CA.
  25. Always remember the bloke on the fans forum who told Waggot that they should make the prices higher and market it as "buy before 12pm on match day to get £3 off" So I reckon they have done that, surely they can't be sticking an extra £3 on those prices if someone decides to go on the day.
