  1. Who is this bloke on the FF who is trying to push for the training centre to be moved to BwD? Didn't expect much more from the minutes really. A few "we're working on things" and "looking into it" etc etc. Also I thought these owners never refused a cheque according to some?
  2. Would have thought there would be an international clause in there yes.
  3. All signings are pointless with Mowbray as manager anyway so it doesn't matter.
  4. Did the last fans forum meeting happen on 10th May as advertised?
  5. Not sure about that, but I reckon if Lambert had got over 4 years at the job, with £15m in transfer fee's and a decent wage budget, plus never having to sell any of his best players, he would have achieved at least the same as Mowbray has.
  6. The local lockdown rumours will play right into Waggot's hands in regards to releasing ST details.
  7. The Trelleborg game was actually in the season we won the Premiership, and have to agree the turnout wasn't very good at all. The opposition, a team of part timers just didn't capture the imagination. I was in one of the box's in the JW for this game, only time I've ever done it. The Champions League games, were about right attendance wise, and has been said, I think it really needed that big side in the group to capture the imagination of the public.
  8. Don't hear much of him anymore, the cynic in me says that Mowbray removed him from the U23 role because he was doing well, and he's a fairly popular ex player. When things are going bad Mowbray knows full well there will always be a portion of the fanbase who would be saying "sack Mowbray and let Johnson take over etc. There wouldn't be so much of a clamour for Billy Barr to take over, even if he does better with the U23's than Johnson.
  9. Might as well keep him, another 12 months under this regime and he'll be perfect for us.
  10. If they ever bother to get them on sale of course.
  11. We didn't actually play the away leg Mick, we were due to play there but as you say they got thrown out and replaced with Vetra at the last minute, so loads who had already booked flights had to sort out a bus to take them from Poland to Lithuania for the new game. As for the Champions League, I was at the 3 home games watched them all from the Blackburn End. Although there was nothing on it that Rosenborg game was great, the other two games were a bit damp though. Remember Shearer missing a sitter in the last minute against Legia.
  12. Think the point is, we probably would have finished 15th or around there with Carter in the side instead of THB, which would have given us an "asset" on our books who would be ready to hit the ground running next season after half a season at this level under his belt already. As it is, he's still coming back next season as a bit of an unknown quantity at this level.
  13. Was the same for Mowbray in league one, but most viewed him as some sort of messiah.
  14. I imagine it will be skimmed over and the attention will turn to ST's and how they are going to manage the stadium etc.
  15. It won't affect us as it will all change again on June 21st, and we won't be playing before that.
  16. Meanwhile third division Charlton have already sold 4000 season tickets...
  17. Yep I was at that game, it was indeed 1-0 but it was Dwight Yorke that scored the goal. Dunn's misses at the time was Jakki Degg who was a page 3 model. Her aswell as her mother were sat amongst the Rovers fans, great banter was had by all as you can imagine.
  18. If (probably when) we lose Nyambe this summer, I can pretty much gaurentee that whoever we play at right back instead next season won't be better.
  19. Probably not the right thread for it but I can see the tide is slowly turning on here regarding Nyambe, as it did with Raya, trying to make out like he isn't good enough because he is likely leaving. If we're planning on going through next season with JRC and Pike as our right back options we'll be in trouble. Anyway, looking forward to todays game, more to see if Rotherham can make a fight of staying up more than anything else. Would have liked to have seen a couple of young lads given a game but Mowbray knows all about them apparently so we'll carry on with a load of players playing for contracts elsewhere.
  20. I'd be happy if I never saw "possession" based football again after this season. Just get the thing in the box and score goals.
  21. Rotherham are dreadful, they will be down this weekend IMO.
  22. Sheffield Wednesday vs Nottingham Forest and Swansea vs Derby are the Sky selections for this weekend.
  23. I'm not sure it's that simple. My 10 year old for instance over the past 3/4 years has really looked forward to seeing the new kits each summer so he can be wearing the same gear as the players, should I not buy him one over something he doesn't really understand yet or care about? Would probably risk him becoming even more detached after what will be 16/17 months out of the stadium come next season. I mean, I certainly won't be buying one for myself, and don't think I have since 2006.
  24. Sky would probably prefer to put the Norwich game on and watch them lift the title.
  25. Huddersfield are just as bad as Derby, we'll sneak this one due to them being hopeless and no other reason.
