I can't belive that people are saying we ar too good to go down. That is not a reason, the West Ham team that got relegated was full of internationals and had iirc correctly finished 6 or 7th the season before. We are certainly not too good to go down, we need to start picking up results soon. I was actually pleased Newcastle picked up points last night, hopefully they won't have quite the same motivation as they would if they had lost. I'm hoping for a good win on Saturday to lift everyone.

It could be one game that you feel started a bad run or just one game purely on result alone. Legia Warsaw, where we were a matter of minutes away from the last 16 of the champions league, arsenal in the FA Cup semi.... the list goes on. For me I guess it is the Southampton game at Ewood in the 1998 - 1999 season. We went down to a poor 2-0 defeat, if we'd won that game we would not have been relegated that season and would not thave had two seasons in the First Division.

I saw him the week before when I was there with England. He was doing press ups with his pplant on his head and it got kicked off by some muppet. Everyone through in a few euro's for him and he seemed ok then. He's not the only pothead I saw out there.

Earnshaw could be worth a shout as well as Eastwood. I'm still not sure why Earnshaw didn't make it at West Brom, his goalscoring record is excellent and Hughes knows him well from their time together with Wales. I've watched Eastwood a few times and I have been impressed with his movement and all round contribution. He will make the step up soon.
