  1. QPR, Millwall, Sheff Wed have all had managerial changes that have had an impact, especially when you consider their respective league positions when they went in, the results are plain to see - this fella obviously hasn’t, luckily he had a very handy buffer to fall back on. Though I suppose he has steadied the ship as it hasn’t sank yet, but he couldn’t actually steer it into calm waters like the bosses of those other clubs.
  2. He should be delighted to come back now that fella who wouldn’t pick him has gone.
  3. Yep, we are in a perfect storm ST wise, terrible product on the pitch, terrible mess off it, expensive and far more of the games now available on TV to boot. Any normal club would be offering a bloody good deal this summer to counter said storm… alas we ain’t one.
  4. Manioo because he plays for, err, Man U… that’s as far as an England manager analysis would go.
  5. If we stay up, it’s been done unconvincingly, but it is job done. End of the day at most clubs he would get to start the new season in charge, be given the benefit of the doubt, but if things go awry in the first half of that campaign, he’d be out, and he would have to be as results would’ve been poor over a sustained period - does anybody seriously think that would be the case here? No ambition, no drive, no standards, no pressure anywhere at the club and you can’t run any team, professional or otherwise, in this manner.
  6. To be fair he gets that every week. Knowing he’s coming up against our ragtag lot is all the motivation he needs.
  7. It was always legally the Premier League, it was just re-branded for sponsorship for a few years.
  8. Perhaps knowing there’s a multi ball system so let’s get on with the game?
  9. Unfortunately they pretty much have, playing in the Championship for a club like Rovers these days is as good as being ‘unknown’.
  10. Had a look at the PNE forum, plenty saying how they are sick of Lowe, crap end to the season etc, but they might as well still get a ST at that price, how it’s still good value even if you miss a few - here it’s crap and expensive, much more of a dilemma.
  11. End of the day the FF was set up in a simpler time, for a completely different football club, it was for incremental, adjacent type issues - catering, travel etc. It was not set up to take the club to task over the existential place BRFC now finds itself - that is what the bi-annual Supporter Consultation was for, until COVID was used as a neat way of quietly dropping it. If anything does need adding to the FF’s next agenda - it is to ask when the consultations are being brought back, as per EFL mandated requirements https://www.efl.com/supporters/fan-consultation/#
  12. Swag knows full well, but as PNE brought in slightly less in gate receipts than us last season, that’s that. Short term bottom line over the long term re-building and engaging of the fanbase, just so they can show the owners that they’ve hit some arbitrary revenue target, oh and bonuses all round - and why would he care about the long term health of the fanbase when he won’t be here to see it come to fruition. A season to season existence, zero long term planning or strategy.
  13. So behind the goal c£100 cheaper than here, the Tom Finney c£150+ cheaper than the Jack Walker. Obviously something we couldn’t possibly replicate here, though a similarly supported club with no parachutes in the same area.
  14. First day of the League 1 season… ‘Steve Waggott get out of our club’ from a few hundred in NO1, with a response of ‘shut up yer dicks, get behind ‘em FFS’, will be about as far as any mutiny goes.
  15. Oxford getting promoted would probably mean we wouldn’t ‘win’ that particular accolade - another Venky-era milestone .
  16. I would say so, something else that has boomed across football in recent years, we’ve seen that with our own away followings … alas not our home crowds.
  17. The sad thing is Swag is pushing an open door with a fair percentage of the fanbase who totally agree that we are lucky to have such fantastic owners.
  18. It’s just weird. Do you think the PNE awards night start with ‘you do all know the Hemmings family are marvellous’, United with ‘long live the Glazers’ or Chelsea ‘Todd Bohely is the man’, just bizarre over-compensating.
  19. Our average gate this season is around 15k, comparable to a few other seasons since 2012, but nothing to write home about as pretty much every other club has considerably increased their crowds in that time. However, next season certainly will see a substantial drop. Treading water, then a drop, then a slog back to this still piss poor level is as good as it gets until the owners feck off.
  20. Asking fans to ‘send him pictures’ of the shit tip that is Ewood - how about you or your staff get off your arses and have a look yourselves.
  21. ‘The Owners’= Suhail is always my rule of thumb.
  22. Cheap STs this time would just about keep us treading water… but if they actually have the brass neck to raise prices (which the FF minutes is hinting at), then Christ, it’s going to be calamitous - but let’s look at it from their point of view, think of the back of a fag packet arbitrary targets they have to hit!
  23. Will he meet the adds on before being flogged off in 18 months? Who knows. It was a piss poor price for one of the best young players in England, and it would’ve been considerably higher in a years time… but of course none of it particularly matters as the side won’t see any of it regardless, but it does ‘help the owners’ in not needing to fund their own business, so hooray!
