So like JH said the regime is not interested in promotion. -
Ooo remembers two up front? Bet Yuki does - great modern football, ain’t it… *Second reminder of the day to myself to stop being old fashioned

Any other club you know the manager would still be going ‘we’ve a chance, take each game as it comes. We go again Friday’. Waffle, obviously, but they’d at least pretend. Flip it round if, say, we were six points from safety would he be saying ‘Ned to focus on the re-build for League 1 next season’? Probably would actually, what a weird club this is. -

Indeed. We did well this season because of the manager’s ’philosophy’, not that of the collection of ‘Head Of…’’s wandering around Brockhall. Need to stop being so ‘old fashioned’, obviously! -

Crazy thing is despite the horrendous form under this manager, despite him giving up on the play offs from day 1 (despite sitting in 5th with a dozen games left)… just one extra measly win and we’d still be going in to Easter with a sniff, what a monumental, wilful rejection of professionalism and ambition all round. -
Need Pears ASAP.

No Darwen is a different case entirely. It’s Blackburn that will have seen by far the biggest decrease in match going support in comparison to any other ‘Rovers’ town/village this past twenty years.
-
Exactly. Those ‘Hyndburn’ towns are Rovers towns (and so they should be against bloody Stanley), they’ve been a Rovers hotbed for 150 years (though all three have far more Dingles then they used to). I’m talking about what the respective clubs are doing.

Surely some will be disappointed as posts leading into Sheff Wed were of the ilk ‘that we need to keep losing to keep the pressure on the campaign’. -
Not sure the majority will be from BwD anymore, the demographic change in Blackburn has been enormous the last twenty years. One look at the data will tell them that far more of the fanbase will have non-Blackburn post codes then ever before, yet they still don’t lift a finger outside the borough. Just arbitrary drawn lines on a map, it doesn’t define support areas, daft thing is if the council borders hadn’t been re-drawn in the 1970s, Darwen would still be a separate borough, so would we not bother there either as to not ‘trod on Darwen FC’s patch?’
-
For Blackburn Rovers to have a less of a profile in BB1 Rishton of all places than possibly soon to be back in non-league Stanley and probably the Dingles too sums up the wilful neglect of this regime.

The Aynsley Pears depreciation thread.

Man Utd with Aynsley fecking Pears an injury away from being their main goalkeeper? Stop the world I want to get off! -

Terrible result for Accy too. Carlisle beat them next week and they are in all kinds of bother… -

Can’t be to be their main reserve keeper? Main main gets injured in say September and he’s in goal till at least January? Has to be a Scott Carson style English box tick third keeper that turns up to training, dives around a bit and then goes home with his 40k, surely? -
Backing the team, fair enough. I’m not sure what ‘the club’ even is anymore.

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

Bowyer was a youth coach managing at first team level for the first time. In that context he did fine. But in reality he was learning his trade on our time as the parachutes were running out - so imagine those players with a top Championship manager. -
Still struggling to understand why being communicated more of Swag’s lies and deceptions would be a positive…

Last year they were crowing after a week: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24355221.blackburn-season-ticket-latest-impressive-first-week-sales/ ‘1,200 were sold in the first 12 hours, the highest first-day sales in nine years.’

‘We aren’t that club anymore’ Translation - our billionaire owners have decided that we aren’t that club anymore. Fair enough, put the club up for sale and fuck off then. -

STs tanking, shit, roll the ‘leaders of the football structure’ out quick. ’Yeah we won’t be spending as we aren’t that club anymore’ -
Why as Eustace left would Waggott being ‘out there’ spouting his usual lies have made anything any better? As a ‘stakeholder’ I’d rather he kept well away from a camera.

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Mattyblue replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
You keep repeating that football now has ‘a head coach structure’. We all know, it’s a fact. Whereas everybody else is debating if this world we have moved on to has actually benefited the game as modern football is a load of boring shite from where I’m standing. -

Amazing how quickly the tide has turned, fundamentally nothing has changed at the club in a month, yet the likes of Suhail wasn’t even on the radar of the fanbase in those long distant days. All hail General Glen. -
If we were winning every week he wouldn’t give a feck about ‘communication’.

Not knocking it, been excellent away followings all season. But it was never going to be a mad scramble this time like previous years.
