Totally agree, but unfortunately this is the modern game we have to operate in.

Nobody has issues with loans, part and parcel in this division. People do however have issue when the loans are like the three we’ve seen this season. Two that, well, not a lot else to say on them, is there, and a promising but raw young lad in an area of the pitch where we have a plethora of promising, but raw young lads.

‘Put Garrett in then’. Yes, I suppose we can, but it is certainly a failure of recruitment that if want to drop a young loanee, we don’t have a single option to turn to in midfield that isn’t a young academy grad with a handful of games to his name. -

Then that lot, Sheff Utd and us going up would help to re-balance the north/south split in a league that has become very southern dominated… -
We would be complaining, but he’d be our problem (and probably back in the U21s by now if he was our player).

We’ll see at the end of the season how much the January debacle has cost us. But it’s certainly a big ask to rely on 18-20 year olds alongside Travis to keep us up there, especially with seven games in 22 days coming up. -
Think they just got an ‘offer they couldn’t refuse’ from GK. Not aware of them going anywhere else.

You can tell with JDT’s body language whenever he’s asked about him. That sunny disposition/perma-smirk quickly disappears. Obviously something has/is going on. Either an actual fall out or possibly issues with his attitude etc. -
He’s young, developing and making mistakes, par for the course with young lads. Which if he’s our academy grad, fine. But he isn’t. It reminds me of when we appointed Bowyer, he was also a rookie that made errors, and it cost us promotion. I’m all for loans if they fundamentally improve the side and are better than what you have. Elliot being a prime example or Archer at Middlesbrough. This lad just isn’t. However, if it wasn’t for Buckley’s injury or the January balls up he wouldn’t be playing. So ultimately it all comes down to mistakes in recruitment.

Even in ‘95! Conceded a last minute equaliser at Leeds on the Saturday, then lost at home to City on Easter Monday. Our late wobble began that weekend. -

Easter has been our downfall on a few occasions. Bowyer era, 95th minute SWFC equaliser at Hillsborough followed by drawing at home to fecking Yeovil on Good Friday (now on the verge of relegation to National League South, by the way.) pretty much torpedoed our play off chances. Peterborough last Good Friday pretty much put the final nail in the coffin. So, Norwich is definitely a must not lose. -
The French onion soup though 😋

Oh sorry. They may as well make this a bubble again if it’s still going to be a palava all round. Talking of ‘high risk’ games, will we get 5k+ for PNE for a half 5 KO in the run-in, with both teams looking for the play offs?
-
Possibly, especially here if the bubble is a thing of the past.
-
So? Cardiff could still have given them 3k. Indeed they asked for them and were turned down.
-
The Cardiff away section holds 3,000. Swansea were given… 1,800. Had a look through their forum, can’t see any skriking.

Though, quite enjoyable seeing a club that has spent half a billion quid in two windows toil like this. -

Yep, I’m not too disheartened, typical Rovers obviously to throw away the chance of a big cushion to 7th. But the reason we do lose games like this is because we have a pretty average/inexperienced bunch of players. So going into to Easter with a four point gap? Cracking place to be all things considered. -

’Excellent’ signing? No chance, he’s shown glimpses of quality (when not injured, that is), and I’m certainly happy to see him at the club, but has been poor on a fair few occasions too, and now can’t even get in the team. -

UK is entirely appropriate in this context as there are a shed load of LFC glory hunters in Wales and NI. -

Nobody despises the glory hunting hordes more than me (pathetic individuals who are trying to get some reflected glory in their sad little lives), but due to said millions of plastics across this country it’s not exactly a surprise that LFC can fill their ground even from a ‘small’ city, is it… -
