  1. They do all they can though…
  2. I can tell you that nobody from the club has from the half dozen or so I know that haven’t renewed the past couple of years…
  3. Yet plenty on here were happy for Brown to be going into the season as right back… a 25 year old who’s hardly played outside semi-pro football.
  4. Indeed, when you have 20k ST holders you would expect a fairly high figure of non renewals, as a decent number of that 20k won’t be particularly fanatical. However, at the sales we are at now, you’d expect the drop off rate each summer to get lower as a percentage of the total figure as it’s only the hardcore left…
  5. Not saying they have, but it is since 2019 that we are seeing these rapid rises. I.e Riverside up £110 in three years.
  6. STs were still cheap enough for years under these owners, it’s only the past three years that they have increased by eye watering amounts…
  7. But there was an increase for any potential new/returning fan, who obviously are the folk that need signing up if we are to add numbers over the 8k. Odd business plan that charges more to new customers for the same product…
  8. Mowbray was always an odd one with pressing. We’d have an odd game in which we’d press high, and usually get results out of it, especially at Ewood. Yet the very next game it would be back to plodding. Not fit enough, maybe?
  9. We scraped 10k on the first day last season. Looks like c13k tomorrow, so an obvious new era boost even at these ridiculous prices… so just imagine what a bit of imagination could do.
  10. I would wager there will be far fewer than 7,000 empty seats at Deepdale for many a weekend game.
  11. ‘Marginal gains’, he reckons. Though our home form fell of a cliff when they started putting them back up there in the run in. Dave Brailsford in reverse is our Swag.
  12. Which makes sense because a comp seat would still be unavailable on the planner.
  13. Could well be, as I’m sure until fairly recently comps were included in the total. Helps Waggott out PR wise for them to once again be bolted on to the total figure…
  14. 700 sold in a week? Great Brittain, indeed!
  15. Exactly, we had 10k by kick off of the first game last season. With two days to go and the last minute rush you always see, we will have a fair bit more than 10k by 3pm on Saturday. Who knows we may even have a total attendance that gets in the ball park of what our neighbours have in ST holders…
  16. We just about scraped 10k on the first day last season. It certainly looks like it will be a fair bit more than that going off the planner.
  17. ‘I don’t agree with the manager’s tactics’ ’Go and arrange a meeting with him then if you have all the answers’ ’These owners make one bad decision after another’ ’Go and fly to Pune then’ ‘Ayala’s never fit’ ’Go and talk to the physio about his rehab schedule then’
  18. Think he’s moved a decimal point somewhere there…
  19. It doesn’t help when the likes of Sharpe will say ‘Rovers season tickets are £399’. The cheapest ones were, if you were an existing ST holder. Large parts of the Jack Walker Stand and any new fan in any stand were paying up to a £130 more than that £399.
  20. 2/3k for a weekend game, sub 2k midweek. That obviously will increase if we are up there.
  21. The prices have gone up around £80 since 2019/20, probably more relevant to a fan with tough budget decisions to make.
  22. You have fallen for his BS, 1864, as you parrot it daily. However, I am not interested in meeting Steve bloody Waggott and listening to his corporate claptrap, so stop badgering me about it. I judge an Exec on results, not on what spin he can come out with in his office - and on that score he’s failed and failed badly, and needs to go ASAP. If you disagree, can you outline why?
  23. Yep, that’s what did it for me, no actual concern about selling a paltry 7,800 STs, not far off the lowest in the whole division, and a plan re what needs to change in future. But merely ‘well, what can you do 🤷‍♂️ At least we sold them at top whack’. When he goes this fella will have left the club’s commercial operation in tatters… but don’t worry about it, because he’s great craic.
  24. But he will try again at the next meeting, obviously he doesn’t take Waggott’s corporate waffle at face value like some…
  25. Because they are a *Fans*Forum, and they always ask for agenda suggestions. But thanks for letting me know about various aspects of communication.
