Watching that video, now that was a team... and some posters thought this present shower were also in the frame for automatic promotion this season 🙄

We haven’t ‘significantly improved’ then, as we are talking about a first team not a development squad. And saying so is just daft (though I’m sure there is bundles of similar stuff going to Pune from the analysts at Brockhall with TM/SW seals of approval, so it’s obviously luddites like me, who gauge improvement of a football team by points and wins, that have it wrong)

He and his contributors certainly have put the graft in, and fair play to anybody that is still engaged enough with this shell of a club to put something like that together... but on his actual views, isn’t he the bloke that said the other week ‘by every measure we’ve significantly improved this season’?

Because the owners aren’t particularly interested in promotion (or the club at all)?

‘Amazing’ that one of only three league clubs (as many as just East Lancs alone) in the whole ‘hotbed’ north east of England get decent crowds.

‘Soldiers and Artists’ was the cracker to top them all from the fella who was actually the Hovis bicycle boy as a kid. Now I’ve said it, it could well be the new ST brochure tag line - though not sure there will be any ‘artists’ left come August... or ‘soldiers’ come to think of it.

Pretty much every town in England and Wales is full of Man Utd/Liverpool fans (plus Arsenal/Tottenham/Chelsea down south), doesn’t mean the local club wouldn’t see big increases in crowds on the back of success and promotions - Lincoln are a prime example, they’ve trebled their gates in recent years.

Tickled me that the LT were framing the story around ‘pledging his allegiance’ and the ‘decision he has to make’, like Southgate could miss the chance for a call up and for BB to take on Foden, Sancho et al for that wide role. 😁

A load of our fans can’t wait to say how small a club we are, there’s little expectation or belief with them that we can even reach the heady heights of the top end of the second division, never mind the bloody Premier League.
