  1. Because we now have ‘optimum owners’?
  2. ‘A lot of IMOs’, well yes kind of the point of the board, no? He was poor by his standards in the closing stages. He’s certainly not a poor footballer or someone prone to inconsistency or any way out of his depth as a PL footballer of many years standing. So yes, that it was the physical demands catching up with a 36 year old non defender/goalkeeper is a fair assumption to make.
  3. Thought he was excellent until lockdown, but looked well off the pace after the resumption. Not a massive surprise as legs can go seemingly overnight at his age, so that would be my worry, but needs must, I suppose.
  4. We were supposed to have a new style of play last season? What was that then?
  5. The way it is round here, especially the BBC. Ian Chisnall was hated by a lot of Blackpool fans for never saying a word against Oyston on Radio Lancs.
  6. Any reason you liked this post Phil? Matt certainly isn’t painting a picture of a club with ‘optimum owners’?
  7. Do sides promoted with an ‘arsehole manager’ earn less?
  8. That’s what everybody will have to do as he ain’t going anywhere (or next season either, I’d wager).
  9. Any of the owd timers on here remember Boggiano ice cream? Was my Great Grandmas family, they came over from Genoa around 1900.
  10. End of the day, if we ‘welcome them’ or not, it’s their club, our feelings don’t come into it (though a nice divisive click bait article from Lancs Live nevertheless). They’ve been free to actually sit in those seats for a decade now, yet unlike 99% of owners they have chosen not to, so it’s all a pointless debate that goes round in circles.
  11. Always amazes me how many Dingles are in Rishton. Literally on our doorstep... BB1 postcode FFS! It’s a great move by Holt and weakens the connection the younger generation has with Rovers in the process.
  12. I would hope so, as if we can’t rely on a big support from Hyndburn ,with the decline of our support in large parts of Blackburn, we are in big trouble.
  13. 20 years ago Rovers fans and shirts were everywhere in Accy. Is that the case now? I doubt it (though Accy residents on here can confirm) . And are we even still the main club in other long standing Rovers strongholds in the borough? Ossy etc?
  14. His confidence is in pieces out wide. He’s not a great centre forward by any means, but he can do a job, especially as a sub. I just cannot fathom what TM is playing at with him continually shunting him out there.
  15. Considering he’s contracted until 2023 that’s some deadweight!
  16. The club wouldn’t appoint such clowns again as we’ve had ‘optimum owners since 2017’, haven’t we?
  17. Arnie Whiteside... so that’s who Grealish models himself on
  18. Last gasp with a 4 year deal to boot...
  19. I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but you can all ‘give him until x’, it doesn’t matter as there’s not a chance he’s going anywhere this season. He’s got a deal for another season after this and he’ll see his contract out (staring relegation in the face would be the only possible exception).
  20. “There was no intention to get him any game-time this soon” Surely your sub keeper has to be ready to play at a moments notice? Jam tomorrow.
  21. More importantly, what happened to Bigdogg?
  22. Had a shocking start to the season though, Chorley. Relegated and now bottom of National North.
  23. Two more games called off for Accy following on from Saturday and tonight.
  24. BB was ‘player of the weekend’ in today’s Times.
