  1. They are wrong, we are right then, Paul? By chance over design, as this isn’t a choice made by Waggott, just he hasn’t had chance to meet the owners for 12 months to sign them off. It’s a good point HBM, a majority of clubs get their STs on sale months before the next season giving them ample time to get fans signed up, pandemic or no pandemic, we are scrambling around trying to flog them in a short window every year after finally getting the sign off in Pune, going to bite us on the arse this time. One issue we won’t have, even at a third capacity, is getting everyone in, so I don’t see why we need ballots and the like here. Lets assume we sell 8,000 STs (we won’t) and there are no away fans allowed, we can easily accommodate all ST holders in our 31,000 ground. Hell, I imagine we’d even be able to cope with a 25% capacity, as I doubt we’ll sell close to 8k.
  2. Bit harsh on Butterworth as this was going to be his break out season by all accounts. Then got a season ending injury early on, was only 19 at the time. He deserves to be looked at again. Likes of Magloire and Fisher, fair enough.
  3. Yet, yet, the majority of clubs have thousands sold...
  4. Just read the match report on the LT, the comments Rows and scores being settled all the way down, proper abusive, and they have the nerve to slag off brfcs on there! This place is most civilised in comparison.
  5. Or back to 2012/13, The Season of 5 Managers...
  6. How have all the other clubs sold so many then? Even the likes of Port Vale are announcing record sales. I’d buy one.
  7. But bizarre that I keep getting taken to task on this when I’ve literally posted numerous links to examples, but ok. By my reckoning they are currently on sale at around 14 clubs that will be in the league next season (was more until Derby and Sheff Wed took them off sale, for obvious reasons), I wasted my time so no one else has to! End of the day, it will be us trying to fight an uphill battle in August/September or whenever we finally get them on sale in an almighty headwind of multiple negative factors... whilst the majority of our peers will be sitting pretty on thousands of renewals and a steady cash flow.
  8. Getting into semantics now just so to avoid agreeing with ‘99
  9. He DOES NOT pester journalists. He just asks them for ‘any Rovers news?’ 14 times every 3 months... or something. Please WITHDRAW your comment!
  10. Derby have suspended sales today due to their ongoing legal issues. Sheff Wed have had them on sale previously, sold thousands in their early bird period. So those two clubs are obviously not who you would use as examples due to legal uncertainty. But Ok then - a majority of clubs not under league investigation have them on sale. Take it you ignored the examples I gave, fair enough, but fine we are in esteemed company with PNE and Reading, but let’s not bemoan cash flow when the majority of the league has raked in millions of pounds. Few more - https://newstadium.brentfordfc.com/season-tickets https://www.canaries.co.uk/season-tickets/ https://www.wycombewanderers.co.uk/news/2020/june/season-ticket-renewals-now-available/ https://www.stokecityfc.com/tickets/season-cards https://www.mfc.co.uk/tickets/season-cards/season-card-prices-and-benefits https://www.htafc.com/news/2020/april/season-cards-renewal-deadline-extended/
  11. Pretty much every other club in the league has them on sale - with most reporting thousands sold. Just a few examples - https://www.qpr.co.uk/tickets/season-tickets/ https://www.lutontown.co.uk/siteassets/image/ticket-office-images/20-21-season-tickets/season-tickets-2020-21---ltfc2.pdf https://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/siteassets/pdfs/2020_21_costofrenewal_220220.pdf https://www.millwallfc.co.uk/news/2020/march/season-tickets-202021-on-sale-now/
  12. David Beckham Suite at Deepdale levels of tinpottery...
  13. They Skype-ing with Pune now then?
  14. So... the point of those contract extensions for Hart and Smallwood was what, exactly?
  15. Warnock was saying last night that he fancies staying on and having them at the top end of the table...
  16. The only possibility of that I foresee is if the owners massively cut his budget. There’s no doubt his stint here has improved his reputation in the game as it was on the floor when he arrived. So jump ship whilst his stock is high and become one of those managers always linked to the conveyor belt of Championship management jobs.
  17. Saw a tweet from you last night, sure it said that you thought Waggott and Mowbray would be off? (unless I read it wrong, was late).
  18. This summer isn’t normal. If it was, another middling season, but no Kean or Coyle in the hot seat as a fan repellant, I would have expected a similar number sold (you always get some, ‘bloody shite, won’t be going on again until x’, but it would still be in the ball park of last summer). But in this new world, the tail off of form just adds to the mess the club is in - being pretty much the only club in the league with 0 ST holders (most clubs have had STs on sale for months with thousands signed up), a massive recession, worries about health and safety and 6 to 9 months out of the ground so habits beginning to break, tells me it will be a disastrous figure sold.
  19. 63 points from 60 points. I suppose it’s quite literally ‘progression’. Though I’m pretty sure that when finishing mid table in two successive seaons, albeit one with a handful of extra points, we didn’t used to crow about ‘progress’, it was just another middling season. To me its just trying to justify the stasis that envelops Blackburn Rovers.
  20. I believe he didn’t want to leave, loved his life living in the Ribble Valley. We’d just finished 6th by spanking Tottenham 4-0 at White Hart Lane, Duff was fantastic. From memory he was literally about to leave on our pre season tour when Souness said we’d accepted an offer...
  21. We went the 9 games post lockdown without a clean sheet (plus the two matches prior).
  22. Good luck with that. Best put a caveat on any Mowbray Out/new manager thread ’Posters know that TM will be manager next season, this thread is entirely hypothetical and for discussion purposes only’.
  23. He means on this internet thingy.. I doubt Amo is a Guardian buyer
  24. Blue and white shirts away from Ewood. Wonders never cease!
  25. Oh I see. Was he winding folk up though? Thought he was getting put right back in his box, myself...
