  1. Swings and roundabouts, JDT was very popular on here, but not particularly at Ewood. Whereas Eustace has always had the fans right behind him since day dot at the ground.
  2. I agree going on about work rate and keeping the shape isn’t exactly what you’d want primarily from a ‘winger’, we’d all love a Ripley or a Gillespie but that kind of player’s been largely coached out of the game. I mean, not an exact like for like but look at what’s happened to Grealish. Beige-isation of football.
  3. Folk still want to buy tickets in person? Surely not.
  4. He’s a modern day wide man. Disciplined, works hard, helps the team keep its shape. It’s what today’s managers want so he’ll get signed up if he wants to stay, as boring as that feels to us fans who are used to/want to see proper wingers beating a man and whipping crosses in. Maybe one day they’ll return like so much else that’s been lost to the game.
  5. He didn’t win a home game last season so that was worth discussing. If he hadn’t won, say, his first four home games this season either it would definitely have been worth discussing, as it would’ve raised questions as to how he sets his side up at home, when you need to be more on the front foot etc etc… however he won them instead, so end of discussion. Don’t know why standard results based message board chat is so controversial with some.
  6. Enjoying the variety of angles you are utilising 👌
  7. So what happens when BwD, Hyndburn etc are abolished? Do we still keep out of BB1 Rishton just because once of a day it used to share a council with Accy?
  8. He still does, look at the community work he is still doing for Rovers.
  9. That would mean selling 20,000+ STs. Only possible if they were at a ‘Taking Back Ewood’ (2008-2010) kind of price… no chance of that if the likes of Swag are still around.
  10. Ended up full of holes and generally tatty, I believe… there’s an Ewood metaphor there somewhere
  11. Fun watching green dots go grey, ain’t it.
  12. Of course the arbitrary local government borders from the 1970s will soon be replaced anyway by merged councils - so will we be ‘allowed’ to encroach on Accy Stanley’s turf then?
  13. They have to do more as the percentage of the fanbase that resides in the town of Blackburn is ever declining.
  14. Give them the rest of the Darwen End and let’s fill the place like the MGP cup tie.
  15. I know folk that will watch Stanley when Rovers aren’t playing, fair enough, but folk that went to Ewood for years and now pretend they weren’t ever a Rovers fan and are at Accy every week. Weird.
  16. Yep know a fair few myself. Doesn’t help that the club has now decided that Hyndburn is nowt to do with Rovers.
  17. Real Lancashire reference there, good lad BlueNWhiteArmy.
  18. National League Cup, that’s the poor man’s EFL Trophy, I believe. I imagine a few NL club fans aren’t too enamoured about it.
  19. How many different competitions do the U21s play in? Seems to be loads. Totally lost track.
  20. ‘Better than 50% of equivalent players in the Championship’. Typical Phil throw away statement, that’s based on what exactly?
  21. A lot of the ST holders that stopped going in 2010-2012 have gone for good because they’ll have long switched off from all things Rovers. However, there is a whole new generation of potential ST holder, floating fans and fans that have always floated. They’ll go if there’s success and/or they’ll go if it’s cheap. They’ve no particular beef with the owners, they just won’t go to watch expensive, middling second division football.
  22. Also c25k average in 1995/96, 1996/97, 1997/98, 1998/99, 2001/2, 2002/3, 2009/10, 2010/11
  23. Like is said SG we’ll need to pretty much sell out the upper tier to get over 25,000 considering c4,500 tickets are not on sale in the Darwen End and the Riverside/JWL end blocks. It’s possible but a couple of wins will help.
  24. Still a way to go to get over 25k purely because there’s already c3,800 empty seats in the Darwen End to start with. So we’ll be need to be pretty much filling the upper tier, possible I suppose, but a couple more wins pre will help that.
  25. Thing is Eustace is not an all of nothing type of manager like the last two. You can certainly see us picking up points throughout from organisation alone.
