  1. Ok, you’re not getting it. Stopping replying as my ‘don’t go full Frank Grimes’ alarm is going off.
  2. WE know it’s great value. A season ticket is great value, it will save them hundreds of pounds over a season, so why then is there always a big queue at the ticket office at half 2 for match ticket purchasers and collectors? Are they all stupid? Or rich? No, it’s because they are a ‘floating’ fan, the clue is in the name. They float in to Ewood every now and then and if it costs them £25-£30 for the privilege, they’ll take that instead of tying themselves into a season ticket/Big 6 because they aren’t as committed as me and thee to be there every other week and on a load of midweek nights. Chaddy in not understanding other people’s lifestyles shocker.
  3. We are about average price in the Championship for STs and match tickets, which is fair enough. But we aren’t ‘cheap’ in comparison to most clubs these days.
  4. It’s a quarter ST and the same price pro rata as half and full STs. So why don’t we sell shed load more of those if it’s such great value? We see it as great value because we make time to go every week. It’s one of our priorities in life. But as always chaddy you don’t seem to grasp that there are loads of other fans not like you, for floating fans it isn’t their priority, so they pick and choose a game every now and then - so stumping up £100/£149 for 6 matches in one go won’t attract them. It’s not how they consume football. So as always in a run in you need a mixture of bundles and an odd £10 game (which I think they will offer, by the way, for Reading, as we have in previous seasons for the final home game).
  5. Why do you keep saying we have cheaper tickets than our competitors when you have been constantly told that it is no longer the case? 2008 to around 2014, definitely. Not anymore.
  6. Aye, it was probably some of the League 1 run in games. End of the day, I don’t expect us to be in the play off shake up every year, but in 8 years we’ve not spent a single weekend (discounting the early weeks of 2012/13) in the top 6. Just a bit of excitement and meaningfulness to fixtures in the run in can do wonders for us fans.
  7. He obviously doesn’t pay much attention to ‘The Data’ he puts so much stock into , as it would have told him the previous Big 6 offers have done very little. It’s a quarter season ticket that floating fans largely have little interest in. Not knocking it, worth doing, especially with a bit of momentum behind us (watch us get spanked at Brentford) because 500 purchasers are better than zero, but it will make little difference to the empty seats. I personally would have started it for Swansea as a ‘Final Five’ as the fact Stoke is a night match will put folk off.
  8. What’s horrible about that?
  9. Salford v Portsmouth. Fan split will be like Charlton/Rovers in ‘87.
  10. Ha! That’s even more random.
  11. Off... waterlogged pitch https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2020/february/burnley-pl-cup-clash-postponed/ And Blackburn Rovers are playing Burnley in... Morecambe, because?
  12. One time we did in 2001 (?) it was a sell out against Greece.
  13. He probably is thought more highly of than Steele (‘kin ell he should be), but obviously Steele is an English squad filler for quota purposes and just needs to turn up at the training ground every day, whilst they want Walton playing. But it’s a bit of a stretch to say he’s suddenly going to be first choice in an elite league after three steady, if not exactly spectacular seasons on loan with us and Wigan in the Championship and League 1.
  14. Under 21s? I believe you have to be 21 or under at the start of the qualification cycle - Euro 2021 qualifying began in March 2019 and Lewis was at that time... 21
  15. Not saying he isn’t a decent keeper or that he hasn’t improved. I’m saying he won’t be first choice in the Premier League or Bundesliga next season. (Feel free to dredge this post up in August if he’s the main man at Werder Bremen, or wherever. )
  16. Yeah around this figure, from memory that’s what I remember it being for that mad scramble for relegation day tickets...
  17. Only 100 tickets left (1650 allocation). Another cracking following, especially as it’s on Sky and back to back with another well attended London game
  18. He’s a decent Championship keeper, bit I’m pretty sure he’s not going to be playing as a first choice in a top European league in 6 months time. He was never as bad as the ‘send him back to Brighton’ crew were making out earlier in the season, but I think a few are now getting carried away the other way.
  19. Behave chaddy! Why would Brighton’s 4th choice keeper end up as number 1 in the PL or Bundesliga?!
  20. I personally would’ve had the bundle kicking in after the Stoke game.
  21. It isn’t though is it, with two home games against Stoke and Swansea following. Bristol City and PNE both lost at home at the weekend after cracking away wins... owt can still happen - it’s February!
  22. I only CARE about Rovers, which means I often don’t enjoy a lot of the 90 minutes. Hull game as an example, I only started enjoying it when we got the second and third goals in quick succession. I did then enjoy the end of game celebrations, the walk to the car, the checking of the table, the highlights, the match report etc etc
