“That Stretford and Salford are not administratively one with Manchester is one of the most curious anomalies of England"

Or Salford...

Rishton is part of the Blackburn post town and has a BB1 postcode. It’s as Rovers as they come (though there are a few Dingles knocking about these days), Accrington Stanley territory my arse!

Season Tickets 2019/2020

Id like them to have gone even further with the young adults and we desperately need a proper singing section. But at least no increases. -

https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2019/may/our-pride-our-passion-our-rovers/ Prices frozen. Only innovation: New for the 2019-20 season, the club have extended the previous young adult age-band to include all supporters aged 18-25. Not only that, all prices in this category have been REDUCED, with tickets available from only £149 - that’s less than £6.50 per game! These years can be particularly challenging financially and the club want to help as many as possible commit to a Season Ticket and continue the habit of enjoying home games – a habit formed through childhood. -
Andy Holt on twitter saying Rovers aren’t ‘respecting boundaries’ as the Community Trust does outreach in Hyndburn. Ossy/Rishton/Great Harwood etc. have been Rovers strongholds since day dot. Just because a 1970s bureaucrat makes up a borough called Hyndburn and puts Accy as its HQ means feck all. The quicker they end up back in non League the better...

We get a bit blase with dysfunctional football clubs as it happens so often. But as someone else has said, this one feels closer than others to a complete collapse...

Another Waggott gem last night ‘Away revenue was below what was forecast’ We could’ve told you that in August, ‘negative brfcs’ leads the way again (oh and the Darwen End closure was for nowt then? Or just the excuse you needed...)

Season Tickets 2019/2020

According to Waggott the season ticket target is 10,000. Which is pretty much where we are now anyway with half season ticket sales. Not much ambition there, so I assume that will be because there’s a hefty price rise incoming and they are happy to just tread water. -

It wasn’t that long ago we were at Luton in the cup. Certainly won’t sell out before general sale. -
Aye, their main striker Adam Rooney left for Salford, I know they are loadsofmoney for non league, but even so...
-
Considering Conference clubs pay bigger wages than even 3rd place Aberdeen tells me he won't be going up there.
-
No chance of Mulgrew going. Signed up till 2021, decent wedge. Where would he go?

Do you think it’s worth bothering with 1875, JH? I didn’t bother this season as I knew that as a season ticket holder I’d always get a ticket in this league. -

Yes, the Oxford attendee is exactly who we need to be attracting on Sunday. But you wouldn’t be thanking said fans for ‘their support all season’. That wording has got some season ticket holders backs up, with some justification, as where is their ‘thanks’ for turning up every week, their loyalty and contributing financially to the club. -

Course they can win. Great idea to reduce prices, just badly worded to say ‘as a thank you for your support we’ve reduced prices’ A good percentage of those buying tickets won’t have been since Oxford. -

In an ideal world they would, of course, love it. However, we are such a stripped down operation these days it just makes me laugh/cry when they send a press release to the LT pre an 18k crowd talking about 'bumper crowd expected', 'parking problems', etc etc. Plus netting off whole blocks of stands for 'segregation' etc. etc. How did we ever cope in the PL? -
The EFL are putting the ‘game into disrepute’ just as much as Bolton.

Putting to one side the fact they should’ve been on sale for weeks already, there will probably be a few thousand extra walk ons there on Sunday. Especially families. So, a great chance to have them on sale, a ST pack with every purchase/pick up. Ticket office open before and after the game etc etc. Plus, it’s the last time fans will be in full ‘Rovers mode’ for months. Don’t know why I’ve even bothered typing that. -
They were wearing that in ‘95 when Shearer tore them a new one.

I'm glad Rovers saw sense and didn't allow the New Years Day and Easter Monday games to be shown too. -

The Blackburn End costs up to £27 (£30 on the day) because it is the equivalent price category to the Darwen End, Waggott's cash cow (well he thought so). -
