  1. Saw some viral social post from a Wolves fan saying relegation wouldn't be bad as you are back to 3pm KOs, aye like Wolves in the Championship would see many of them. 😀
  2. Thought this was a forum for our opinions not John Eustace’s?
  3. Don’t know about the tenners. But the biscuits is true as far as I’m aware, as I believe the Swansea commentator last week was saying how we are the only club they know in the league that provide no food to the media.
  4. A club that can’t even provide a few biscuits to the media won’t exactly be setting a high bar for the scouts.
  5. The fact the Dingles still cling on to Trelleborgs even now shows just how much the 90s destroyed their collective souls.
  6. Modern game, presumably he’ll be getting the Juventus job next.
  7. ‘There’s this thing in football called the 18 yard box, run into it.’ ’Thank you, Keith’.
  8. His game has gone to pot post Dingles. I doubt Eustsce will want to be starting him again any time soon. Alas his hands are tied when years of appalling recruitment up top has left us as thin as this.
  9. I thought it was a decent game. West Brom will be up there, but we competed well. Both teams missed good chances. 0-0 on midweek at Ewood doesn’t necessarily mean ‘boring’.
  10. They got rid of the programme because it wasn't 'profitable' - guess what some things don't actually make money at a football club, but you do them anyway to offer a service/a vibrant experience for your supporters. Reading those programme posts from Herbie in the Nostalgia Thread tells me more about what we've lost under this regime than anything else. A club that back then wanted to look after, and do all it could for its fanbase. We were in it together. This regime sees fans, a shop, a stadium as all an inconvenience.
  11. Actually crowing about getting something on the shelves after months with zero stock (just like every season). Ridiculous set of people down there.
  12. Of course a fan owned club can’t work at this level. It has to be the ‘benefactor’ model, obviously we don’t have that here either as the Rao’s can’t/won’t fund the club they inexplicably still own.
  13. Of course players get rested from time to time but generally managers pick their best players - if first XIs don’t matter why does Haaland not start on the bench or Van Dyke or Palmer or closer to home Beck or Tronstadt? The only reason players don’t play for ‘tactical reasons’ is because they haven’t been good enough to make the manager pick them.
  14. The ‘I wish I was in La Bombonera type’ sounds very niche.
  15. The reign of terror in a nutshell. From an established Premier League club who were cup semi final and European football regulars when they rocked up to now targeting staying out of the third division.
  16. Yep. All three. End of the day they wouldn’t be doing the checks if they hadn’t have made a complete mess of adult pricing. Obviously a lot of put out people down there.
  17. I’ve no issue with the checks, I paid full price so should every other adult. Obviously the club (Swag) are smarting that they’ve lost revenue/not hit their bonuses due to only 4,000 adult STs being sold, part of that looks to be due to discounted concession tickets being bought instead. Just the tone/style of writing amused me, like it’s been written by an angry school prefect.
  18. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/october/21/ticket-checks-to-continue/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR1KMEIrYD3g3h6zDy6q1d3hLGhJB0HSS-a3y_gFgFF0noB7GyQx43_MHtA_aem_EZRortDb8RlOrhg9cfOzFw Of course the club should try and crack down on this, but is it just me or does the language in that article seems slightly (amusingly) OTT?
  19. Which is exactly why Bolton have sold so many. If they’re priced at £240 to £299, but you might not be able to make a fair few games through the season for one reason or another, you’d consider buying one anyway at that price. However, if it’s £350 to £450 (and that’s just the early bird price), then feck that if you struggle for midweeks or you’ve realised just how many will be on TV.
  20. I don’t think Hedges gets anywhere near the scrutiny Dolan gets. Especially considering he’s 29, not 22. Dolan is a credit to himself for building a career at this level from the scrap heap.
  21. Odd the scrutiny TD’s performances get put under every week. Yet the likes of Hedges et al barely get a mention and they aren’t exactly pulling up any trees. ’Didn’t even stand out at Clitheroe’ being the latest. He’s a decent Championship player, doing a decent job.
  22. It’s both. We are in a small, deprived catchment area but have a CEO charging top dollar. The answer, of course, is adult reductions, but that ain’t happening so third bottom of that particular league table will be how it will stay.
  23. Obviously isn’t ’regardless of price’ as we’d sell plenty more if cheaper as we all know - and you do too as you banged on about cheaper prices being needed all summer.
  24. Badly worded then, SG, nothing ‘bad’ about our support, just the fools running the place trying to charge the prices they do for middling second division football in a town like Blackburn.
