Yes sadly thats inevitable Cambridge, I'm glad we had a couple of seasons out of the lad, a bright spark in 14yrs of mostly shite under these owners. -

This just goes to show what we've been reduced to as a club. Our only options are injury prone journeymen and the hope in this case Fleck can get fit..... Venkys out, nothing else matters. -

The reports of Eustace being 'Frustrated' with progress on signings tells you all you need to know about the football club. They may well have shuffled a few chairs around on the top deck, but the boats still sinking. Sounds like JDT last summer doesn't it? -

I'm sure Eustace like every other Rovers manager will be loathed to lose Gallagher, one of the first names on the team sheet when he's fit, which tells its own story. Its similar with Dolan, the only creative player we have, nobody is telling me either player isn't a worthwhile assets to a club looking to stave off relegation and finish mid table in Championship. I get Gallagher doesn't score enough goals, I get it, I wish he scored more, but he's an asset to this current side, we must keep him unless a silly bid comes in that we can reinvest. -

Tommy bullshit is back. -
Good fight card tonight from O2 in London, headlined by War Chisora who keeps taking about retiring but wants to make it to 50 fights, this is 48. Chisora v Joyce on next.

Where we meeting and what’s the plan? -
I’m pulling @Mattyblue into this post in the hope he’s been, with him living locally, hopefully he shares the same view, as it’s a bit of a contentious subject the Kebab! https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186332-d4924107-Reviews-Armenian_Kebab_House-Blackpool_Lancashire_England.html This place was ‘whispered’ to me a year or so ago, the locals want to keep the secret you see, as the Friday night queue was 45mins last time I went! Opened in 1978, here we have a very basic but outstanding kebab house and you don’t need to be pissed to appreciate the food. The kebab meat itself is treated with care, spiced and flavoured by the establishment themselves and I think that’s what makes this places so special. They don’t take telephone orders, you queue and wait for your food, but it’s well worth the wait and no rough guts the day after. If you in Blackpool, south of the pleasure beech, give it a try.

Thank you, much appreciated.

@Herbie6590 Can we pin this please? Loads of excellent content.

We were almost relegated to league 1, saw another manager walk due to abhorrent owners and zero budget and you think Blackburn Rovers deserved to sell more than 9000? As for them not being value for money, I guess if you compare them to Bamber Bridge you'd have a point, but we have one of the cheapest season tickets in the Championship.

John Eustace - our head coach
Gav replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
One of the most bizarre episodes I've seen in recent years and lets be honest we've had many, was the hastily arranged Waggott/Players/Fans meeting last season. Here we had JDT still officially the manager, although we all knew he was leaving, the CEO decides to parade the senior players in front of a small section of fans, where the players complained about booing and the fans had to explain it was more aimed at owners..... What the hell was that about? What club does that? Utter shit show and the results only got worse!! -

I saw an interview with Troy Deeney at the end of last season, he was watching Rovers training and is a very good mate of Eustace. Deeney was pretty unequivocal, Eustace was fully aware of what he was coming into when he signed. ‘He loves a challenge, he doesn’t want it easy, when the odds are stacked against him he thrives’ Make of that what you will. -

Good one chaddy, many fans feel the same I’m sure. I can’t be as optimistic and as you sadly, I wish I could, but this sort of post and attitude should be applauded not rounded upon. -
Good to see our former gaffer well and on the road to recovery, here he is taking in the golf at Royal Troon.

Pretty enthralling test match going on at Trent Bridge. West Indies chasing down 385 with a day to go. Cant see them doing it, although the pitch is flat and the ball is doing nothing, a much better contest than the first test.
-
If he was the least bit bothered he'd be looking to make buying tickets more attractive, you tell us on a regular basis he's not doing that, has never done that and I agree with you. Does that sound like a CEO interested in ticket income? It doesn't to me.
-
Ticket sales are ticket sales, 9000 seats sold after an awful season last season is a very good effort. If you’re interested in the clubs revenue you’d much rather sell 9000 at top whack, but I don’t think anyone is interested in revenue to be honest, not even the CEO.

I’ve not much time for Leeds, but imagine this arriving 3wks before the season starts. Its not great imagine quality, apologies for that, but the club are asking the loyal away fans to fork out £850 for an away season ticket next season, or lose you loyalty status, disgusting from the club in my opinion. They don't even know which season it is "2024/24 season....."
-
Why rigger? I'd be interested to know.

Where do your supporters live?

@DeeCee I could be wrong here, but I recall buying 'The Sports Pink' from that shop many years ago, did it turn into a football programmes shop at one time, or am I making that up? -

Whilst not tied into the Arijanet Muric deal financially, Hladky was a 'makeweight' in the deal between Ipswich and dingles. Premiership Ipswich had offered him a new 1yr deal, which of course puts him way out of our reach financially. -
I think many people are concerned about the infrastructure, the school places, the roads becoming jammed, available GP's in the area, the usual stuff @speeeeeeedie. This particular area has seen big changes in the past few years, what was open fields has now become a housing estate and they want to build more. We have a NIMBY culture in UK, 'Not in my back yard' and in some cases for good reason, but in most cases its for selfish reasons like my house will lose value..... If this does go ahead I hope they build a significant number of social housing on the site, because we have a desperate need for social housing, its always about affordable housing, when really it should be about social housing, big difference.

Based on the shambolic goings on last season, it just goes to show the fanbase is still strong, 9000 is an excellent return for a side that spent months looking like it would be playing football in league 1 this season. Good effort and I hope your loyalty is rewarded by some success of the pitch.
