  1. One step closer for the Waspi campaigners, a scandal that needs putting right: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-57900320
  2. .....and I've got another one. Hired some equipment from HSS hire last week, what a palaver...... First of all ordered online, thats the protocol at the moment, put my card details in, message comes up, cancelled order, but the money has gone from the account. Rang them up. "We don't take any money up front sir" "Well its gone from my account" "I've just checked, you'll get it back in 5 days, its in a holding area"........ "What about my kit"? "Order it again online but use a different card" That worked and the equipment was delivered, but upon closer inspection a main part was missing, the drivers gone by this time......... "You've dropped off xxxx and xxxx is missing" "Can you nip to B&Q and buy the part, it'll be quicker than us coming back out to you" "Should that not be, I'm sorry we've made a mistake"? "Happens all the time sir, but I am sorry yes" Told them to pick the lot back up and reimburse me, supposed to arrive yesterday, not seen them so far, could come today who knows. Shambles from start to finish, I'll never use HSS hire again. Similar story with Argos this weekend too, but I won't bore you with the details.
  3. I see that crackpot Piers Corbyn was demonstrating against Vaccines in London yesterday, police attacked, arrests made, bottles thrown and general disorder, its been a feature of many demonstrations throughout this pandemic and it would be naïve to think that the mass gathering hadn't caused many deaths across the country. Not much coverage in the media at all really. Sunday 11th July - England v Italy - Small scale disorder, a fence got pushed over and a barrier breached, its still in the news today, but its football supporters, 100,000+ of them in London that day, hooligans that lot of them. Double standards? I'd say so, been going on for years, gutter press.
  4. Changed it for you, please think bigger picture....... Mowbray and Waggot are a symptom, Venkys are the virus, Oxford AstraZeneca over to you, I want to be double vaccinated by August. Venkys Out!
  5. Its not irrelevant Rev, but it does put to bed the excuse that "They've been badly advised" - When in fact they've had lots of very good advice from day 1, coming from real footballing people, they just chose to ignore it and here we are 8 manager later, numerous chairmen/CEO's later and £150m debt.
  6. Bought tickets tonight to watch Bob Dylan in our front room, how about that, 3 songs in, absolute genius. http://www.bobdylan.com/
  7. I remember years ago The Telegraph used to give them to local paper shops, you could get them in the club shop also, couldn't wait to sellotape one to my bedroom wall. Home shirts still hadn't come out before July holidays either, some things never change.
  8. What many of us have been saying for years, sadly some fans do not see that the real issues lie upstairs, some post on here. The changes can only start on the pitch and in the dugout but fans know that the real issues lie upstairs and with the club now heavily indebted to the Venky’s, it begs the question of whether we’ll see change before we see relegations, worsening financial problems and the collapse of a once great Blackburn Rovers. I'll also add that I've never heard the phrase ‘Mowbrayball’ from the article.. As @arbitro said last week and some of us have been saying for a while, give me non league football tomorrow to get rid of Venkys and I'd take that now. This club and town can then start to rebuild, hopefully in time for my grandchildren to take on the baton and do it with pride and passion for this once great football club. But we digress....
  9. Controversial…… Root didn’t run him out, he should have, let the umpires sort it out. Great sportsmanship, but Roots been conned here.
  10. Tell me you didn’t boo Wilcox and Sherwood Asia? Please….
  11. That your flag Matt? 👍
  12. That depends when Jimmy made that comment. It could have been when The Riverside used to boo Wilcox, or The Blackburn End used to Boo Sherwood, imagine that! 2 Premiership winners!
  13. Plenty of first team experience in that side, it’s certainly not weak or you’d be playing 👍
  14. No even a contest……
  15. Recording artist Sabrina Washington has just murdered ‘Abide with me’ and the national anthem, let’s hope the final is better than that. Cant see past a St Helens win.
  16. Lancashire v Yorkshire T20 - 5pm today. Bury black pudding, tripe and Lancashire hotpot for tea, washed down with a pint of Wainwright’s. Could you imagine…..😂
  17. You'll struggle to find a manger in the country who isn't involved in any restructure of the academy or training facilities, Kenny, Hartford, Hodgson, Hughes and Allardyce have all played key roles in this area whilst at the club that I know of, its not unusual. Where I have a problem is this bullshit theory, fabricated on social media, that the multi millionaire manager of a Championship club is set to benefit finally if we sell part of the training ground, thats my only point here, its complete and utter nonsense. Selling part of the training ground would have been a scandal, I wouldn't trust Waggot as far as I could throw him, but hammer the manager for footballing reasons, not some fabricated lies on social media. As you say, back to Park, impressive record of unearth talent, yet 8 pages of negativity........What did Jimmy Armfield say, they're not a crowd at Ewood, they're a jury.
  18. The online whispering campaign about him somehow benefiting from the sale of the training ground was absolute clap trap, fabricated nonsense. Outside of this site nobody believes that to be true in my experience, people I talk to just think he's past his sell by date and in reality that is the mans only crime despite the histrionics on here. 8 pages so far on a new chief scout, mostly negative, a chief scout who seems to have a great record at discovering talent, I wish the guy well.
  19. They will never appoint a top manger Rev, they came close with Warnock and blew it at the last minute, thats the closest they'll ever get. Mowbray is just another example in a long line of failures, you've had the same arguments with every manager thats been through the door since the idiots took over, that should tell you something. Sadly this club has had its heart ripped out, its a shadow of what Jack left us and thats not Mowbrays fault, its not Lamberts fault or Bergs, its Venkys fault, I hope the bastards rot.
  20. He's hooked a couple of whoppers, come on chaps 😃
  21. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/blackburn-rovers-park-transfers-history-21061226 Park was attributed with the captures of several Celtic sensations through the years and their success over the past decade - with nine consecutive league titles - was aided by his ability to recognise talent. Moussa Dembele Virgil Van Dijk Teemu Pukki Victor Wanyama Scott Brown Fraser Forster Ki Sung-Yeung Gary Hooper Scott Sinclair Leigh Griffiths Dedryck Boyata Tom Rogic Thats side would get promoted from The Championship no problem 👍
