  1. France v Wales game 2nd half is about to kick off, it’s been brilliant so far. 17-17 - Wales to win here.
  2. Not at all Howie, never get tired of seeing fantastic pictures of times gone by. It could be Will.
  3. I posted those pics a few weeks back, they're from Will Sergeants Twitter page where he was asking if anyone recognised the venue, he wasn't sure. Mrs said Will is in the picture, but he's not, you're right Howie, its Pete de Freitas and Les Pattinson.
  4. English Punk and New Wave musician Captain Sensible of the group the Damned, performs at King George Hall, Blackburn, 11/26/1981.
  5. Jimmy Quinn surrounded by fans during an end of season pitch invasion following the Canon League Division Two match between Blackburn Rovers and Wolverhampton Wanderers at Ewood Park on May 11, 1985 Blackburn Rovers finish in 5th place in Division Two in spite of a 3-0 win.
  6. Simon Garner February 1988. Blackburn Rovers 3-2 Aston Villa League Match Division Two. I was on Blackburn End that day and I've never seen it so packed, the Riverside was being redeveloped, when the 3rd goal went in complete bedlam.
  7. Love this by Dire Straights and also Sailing to Philadelphia CLB.
  8. Some of his solo stuff is superb CLB, I lost interest after Money for nothing, but recently discovered him again. He made a couple of albums with Emmylou Harris - All The Road running - Brilliant.
  9. Reminds me of seeing Didier Drogba trying to sneak a Las Vegas escort out of his room at Caesars Palace. 2007'ish - 20,000 Ricky Hatton fans travelled to Las Vegas to watch the fight against Mayweather, the place was packed with Hatton fans and most never slept for 5 days. 5am in the morning, around 50 of us singing in the bar, the lift opens and Didier Drogba walks out with a beautiful women dressed in lingerie, not an usual sight in Vegas to be honest, but she was with Didier, that drew attention. You can imagine the scene, as he hurriedly drags her back into the lift and starts pressing the buttons, but its to late, the singing and shouting has started, the cameras are going wild, Didier joins in .........Only 1 Didier Drogba, only 1 Didier Drogba....... He walks the lady to the taxi, comes back and puts $5000 bar tab on his room, has a shot of Tequila then off to bed, we manged to spend on his room until about 7am......bet the waiters got a decent tip that night. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIdfaNa4JKU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kortGZ_gqeg
  10. Statement on Marvins website says he died of natural causes. RIP Marvin, a boxing legend.
  11. Just seen this from Hitman Hearns: Thomas Hearns wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of Hagler: 'A real true warrior Pray for the king and his family.. he's in ICU fighting the after effects of the vaccine! He'll be just fine but we could use the positive energy and Prayer for his Full Recovery!'
  12. More awful news, we lose a boxing legend: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/56390270 Never forgive him for beating Alan Minter, but what a fighter, a legend, taken far to early. RIP - Marvellous.
  13. The best game I’ve seen for a while: England 23 - France 20 France are a quality side and will be a real threat in the World Cup on home soil, but we beat them today, you have to wonder why that kind of performance has been missing all 6 nations.
  14. Murray Walker has died, Mr Formula 1. He seemed such a nice guy also. RIP Murray. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/56388596 I remember this like us was yesterday, Mansell losing the title in Australia with his good mate Murray on commentary. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IIX-JmmmonY
  15. Think I'll give Snowfall a go chaps, sounds right up my street 👍
  16. Probably the strangest post of the night, BNP merry men protesting against Venkys? Give yourself a good slap around the chops man, or put the special brew down (Do they even have special brew these days)? We should have chased these charlatans out of the club years back, if this lot had taken over the club on the 70's the fans would have burned the ground down with them in it. We missed the chance to get rid of the bastards, so now we have to live with the consequences. Mowbray isn't the problem, neither was Bowyer, Berg or Lambert, its the bloody owners that need sacking and until they piss off this club will stagnate and die a slow death, its as simple as that.
  17. Are you watching and listening Venkys:
  18. Nothing you or I can do about that 47er, the fans had a chance to protest and cause a shit storm when King Rat was here and 99% did fook all and here we are. I heard the same gripes in 80's, my dad in late 60's and 70's, plenty fell away, no hope, then Jack came along. I look forward to every season, if only to see how our younger players progress, but thats just me.
  19. Speak for yourself, I look forward to every season and have done for 40yrs+ (Maybe not the king rat ere, but definitely the rest)
  20. Nothing wrong with that challenge, but worrying to see Dack on the floor.
