If we had different owners I'd snap anyone's hand off willing to pay £20m for the lad. John Williams would have banked £8m and given the rest to the manager, but I can't see the 3 stooges in Pune going for that one. It's inevitable that he'll leave, we all know that, some would even say recent performances have shown his heads already elsewhere, but with limited players around him, and this season in a better league, he's still performing for me and I enjoy watching him, but £20m!! The current side isn't good enough to challenge in this league, but £10m would possibly take us to that next level and put us in contention for next seasons playoffs if spent wisely, food for thought maybe? Sheff Wednesday lost in the playoff final to Hull in 2016, and are now losing away to a Blackburn team promoted from league 1, they expect better and rightly so. From our perspective, we're doing wonderfully well to be beating teams of this calibre.

This football club is crying out for a bit of stability and thankfully we have that with Mowbray. He has not only improved the side on the pitch but has made a major impact behind the scenes, we are operating like a professional football club once again and that goes unnoticed by many. Personally I wouldn't swap him for any other manager in the Championship at this junction, things are going extremely well, let's hope we continue to see small improvements because they could lead to bigger things further down the road.

He comes across as one of us, he understands the club, town and its supporters. That is why I hope he continues to make a success of this. He has almost made me forget Venkys even exist, almost.
