  1. Don't forget he was sponsored by Krispy Kreme.
  2. We both know that managing the U23s and managing the first-team are a world apart. Again, if not for being an ex-Rover he wouldn't be in with a shout.
  3. A few clamouring for Johnno as TM's successor. It's his first season as a senior coach. Have we learned nothing ? If it wasn't for the fact he once played for us, this would have no traction. In general, promoting a coach to manager embodies the Peter principle.
  4. Total panic buy. Speaks volumes for our so-called scouting network.
  5. Psh. Look at you people, picking players in their ACTUAL positions. That kind of orthodox thinking has no place at Ewood.
  6. Tosin isn't our player, though. What a shambles.
  7. Rovers have plateaued under Mowbray. He's going through the motions and will never take us up. I think we either need a progressive manager who can make the most of our young, attacking players, or a Pulis/Warnock type who knows how to do it by the numbers. Mowbray is just another yesterday's man. The fact our glaring defensive problems STILL haven't been addressed is inexcusable.
  8. Do we really only have two senior centre-backs (one of whom's crocked)?
  9. >Played well >Didn't have a single shot on target Pick one
  10. Same shit, different season
  11. Fighting the apathy to get back up to speed. So we sold a promising young keeper and replaced him with a loanee? Still haven't signed a new CB? Oh dear.
  12. Take the blue and white blinkers off and try to cope less. They gave him the contract with the expectation that he would conduct himself professionally. Not down tools and hide behind "muh depression".
  13. There was a part where a team-mate asks him if he'll play for Sunderland this season and he replies "no chance". Also... https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/906960/Sunderland-Jack-Rodwell-Chris-Coleman-Play-EFL-Championship
  14. Whilst being a lazy fecker who refused to play.
  15. That Sunderland docu showed that he's a massive bellend whose heart isn't in the game. Let's move on.
  16. Meh. Not an inspirational signing but let's see how the rest of our business unfolds before judging.
  17. Thinking the Trust would've sanctioned either of those signings.
  18. I'd understand if Gladwin was a world-beater and we gave him a new deal in the vain hope that he would rekindle the magic, but he's done nothing and according to Mowbray the contract extension is based on feeling sorry for him. One of the recurring criticisms of Mowbray is that he's too loyal and not ruthless enough with the L1 squad. Loyalty is a valued characteristic but it can be a character flaw if it breeds favouritism, stagnation and short-sightedness.
  19. Some will argue that this one decision is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things, but it's a symptom of a bigger problem. Mowbray just proving all over again that he hasn't got the ruthlessness to take us forward. Giving Gladwin a pity contract FFS!
  20. Literally NO reason to keep Leutwiler & Gladwin. Even if we don't have a pot to piss in this summer, we could still pick up a couple of freebies who would make more of an impression.
  21. Don't worry, it will have a different battle system when it comes out in 2028.
  22. Leutwiler, Hart, Downing, Gladwin, Conway. No reason to keep any of them, is there? If Mowbray gives another loyalty deal to Conway it proves he's learned nothing.
  23. They always play it up as a "victory for English football" English football is dominated by foreign players and foreign managers. The clubs are private companies owned by foreign investors. On that basis, it's difficult to attach any sort of patriotism to their achievements.
  24. When I see that blue, I think of Scotland. I don't want to think of Scotland.
