The attendance, for example, was 6800. That compares so well with past attendances in the First Round of this competition when we had more like 3000 We had 5 years of Mowbray and you think he shouldn't be mentioned again? I haven't got him out of my system if you have. I'm like a poster above, next game can't come too soon for me. No need to watch with my hands over my eyes anymore and teeth clenched.

As each game is played, the more I reflect on what we might have achieved without 4 years of Morbid Mowbray.

Hedge should clearly have gone on and taken that chance on his own. He obviously did not trust his right foot. Just as well Smovics had followed up or a gilt-edged chance would have gone begging. Not criticising Hedge's overall game by the way, he did well overall.

Different situation though. Awesome so had to go once we were relegated. We sold Pickering, for example, when we were top of the 1st Division. But, yes, I agree, best centre-half I ever saw. And that includes Bobby Moore by a mile!
