  1. Well that's the point, we've lost wickets. tail-enders in and not scoring. Seems a waste of time to me. We still have to get them out twice. Remember Australia trying and failing? A lot of talent in this Indian batting line-up. And character.
  2. Can't understand why England are batting on. Surely they should bowl a few overs at the end of 2 exhausting and demoralising days for the Indians?
  3. You'd leave Elliott out?----best player on the pitch, better than Dolan, Dack or Rothwell.
  4. I don't see why they should get special treatment! 😛
  5. Forgot him! Results meant nothing back then and they don't seem to matter much now but I concede the point.
  6. TM is unique though---no manager has ever been less accountable for results than this bloke.
  7. Going with the Pink Floyd analogy, couldn't Tony's tenure be compared to the "Endless River"?
  8. He's a reasonable collector of ingredients but a rotten cook. He he can't put the ingredients together and has consistently neglected the base of the cake.
  9. Yes but he's not a loan is he?
  10. Scott Dann was better than Taylor and I was sad we let him go but he wasn't as good as Jones or Tosin imo.
  11. Agree. Its frustrating for the younger players. Every time we sign a loanee they slip that farther back. Eg Wharton, he went on loan after loan, and from memory was about to go on loan again but we had run out of players and we had no choice but to play him. Result?---he excelled! Its OK to sign 4 or 5 Premier League players we could not afford to buy, to get us up. But when we don't go up season after season and face a big turnover at the end of the season, then bring a new set of loanees in, you have to question it. It doesn't help that we have so many crocks in our squad.
  12. How about "going for it in a restrained way"?!!
  13. Are we actually signing him? I've seen endless "Rovers closer to signing Pickering stories".
  14. Looks like the owners have decided to go for it as, I seem to remember, you said a week or two back. Strap in and let's enjoy the ride!
  15. Seriously doubt that. If anyone offers it we would snap their hand off.
  16. Bloody hell Chaddy, he isn't a Rovers supporter is he? He had a choice and he made it---for himself. Plenty of time to help out another club when he is financially secure. Jones was a Rovers supporter and he was off to Manu like grease lightening!
  17. and the ability to see it through.
  18. Poor old Wharton. Waited so long for his chance, proved himself and promptly got injured. Football can be a cruel game sometimes. I hope he doesn't get forgotten.
  19. They'd rather earn £30000+ a week than £10000. Hardly a surprise.
