I think i was typing that on here 2 years ago, hes managed to create himself a niche here at Ewood moving the goalposts when it suits. We just aren't strong enough or savvy enough to do it every week now but for a few seasons we might have been. No sign of it though as he wanted the comfort zone.

Far too placid these days but when Ewood blows it usually does so big style. Something will give eventually but tomorrow i think we'll get stuck in and win. People call Souness for his ego and arrogance when he was younger but when it mattered the guy showed his class. When things weren't going well and unrest was brewing he stood there and said fans are entitled to have a go so please have a go at me not the team. He also many times stated how patient he thought the Ewood crowd was and how other fans would turn far quicker when things went wrong. Contrast to this present goat who has to tell everybody every five mins how humble he is, whilst never being held accountable for anything at all.

The other night when the 3rd i think it was went in and a few rumbles of dissent started he straight away bolted and hid on the bench. Then when it passed and the crowd tried to rally the team briefly he re appeared. And of course stood there hands in pockets, the guy is a complete flake.

Don't mistake it for unconditional backing for him though it's a brow beaten fanbase. Most have just given up and either don't go anymore or just turn up as is their duty as fans and just sit there. The crowds bear testament to this.

Last player i saw turned inside out as easy as him was Murphy it's as if his feet are nailed to the floor. In defense or in a packed defensive midfield where his job is just to be solid he might do a decent shift. That kind of thing is way beyond the Mowbray way though.

Although it is a bit daft after a horror show like that i agree with 1874 it's just the modern way of a pat on the back. In past days they'd all be having a beer together afterwards and doing all the back slapping and bonding. If it was a SAT game some of them would all be out together afterwards. It's not really like that anymore so really it's just a 'well played' in the way things are done these days, not saying i agree with it but that's the way it is. Falling out about it behind the scenes and falling out with fans probably does more damage for spirit than just letting it lie. As for Bennett weighing in the best thing to do with him is ignore him he's always had a big mouth. Regularly whilst here he seemed to trawl past all the smoke blowing to find one negative comment to kick off about. He's another example of the modern footballer snowflake, a ten bob lower league player with a fragile ego. Forget about him.

And what of the leadership on the sidelines ? They obviously have no fear or are bothered about that. It is no wonder we've never come close to cracking the top ten under him before this season with bigger better squads. Iv'e banged on about it for years but the mentality under him is all wrong and always has been.

Sadly around me last night....well the handful within speaking distance..where mostly laughing it off. Shrugging shoulders and saying oh well we'll never be that bad again hopefully. Below us on the touchline was a fella with his hands in his pockets wishing he was at home in front of the fire. Difference is he's getting ten grand a week to stop the sort of thing we witnessed last night actually happening. To say his stamp has rubbed off on fans is an understatement.

I actually felt sorry for most of the players last night everything that could go wrong did. They were exposed as being out of their depth and lead by a chump not a leader. TM couldn't do anything about the bad defending or clumsy tackle but we were all wrong before that. This is where real nous comes in from better managers knowing how to set up against real quality. And knowing what to do when it's going wrong. Time and time again against the better sides Mowbrays teams have come up short. I expected to lose comfortably anyway but that was a shocker.

Some just playing with it, some trying to make a few quid out of it. All peeing in the same pot and collectively not much idea but always handy to have limp yes men in the hotseats.

Imo it's Barry and his middleman who only seem to want to deal with a certain set of peoples clients. Just why is the million dollar question.

These fellas came out with this stuff completely unprompted to me. They didn't seem to have hate for the trio and did say there was a boat load of issues going on. However the general point was these lot bought into it, pitched their own plan and made everything worse. As well as a whiff of opportunism to make money from house building etc in Venus's case. I think we all agreed the lot of them are more suited to lower league desperate type clubs. Not anybody who is a fair sized club but needs pushing in the right direction upwards with modest backing.
