Morton from Liverpool for peanuts? I don't think that will be the case. Irrespective it's about delivering the goods which Archer and Ramsey have done. So for Middlesbrough it's money well spent as it looks like getting them into the playoffs.
-
I would imagine the loan fees are similar to what we paid for Hirst and are paying for Morton. Our of curiosity I wonder what we are paying for Mola.

Two of Middlesbrough's goals tonight have been scored by loanees. How many goals have our loan players contributed again?

Pears/ Kaminski.. summer plans?
arbitro replied to NeilInBristol's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Since Kaminski's poor performance at Burnley he went on to concede 16 goals in seven league matches and as I recall was directly responsible for a good number of them. Pears has conceded 12 goals in 12 league games. I see absolutely no reason for Pears to be dropped in favour of Kaminski. His errors have been fewer and he simply doesn't take the risks Kaminski does when passing the ball out. -
There are many damning facts associated with the last twelve years. Two relegations, countless useless managers and executives, millions squandered, a shrinking supporter base and many, many more facts that prove they have been a disaster. You comment about not staying in the Premier League was conjecture to try and justify your point of view. The facts don't lie.

Conjecture.

That really has nothing to do with Venkys total mismanagement of Rovers. In fact buying a stable Premier League club for around £40m (iirc) was an absolute bargain. They royally screwed up pretty much from day one and still are. It's only recently they tried to sell the STC for housing and wanted to move the STC to the Academy until there was a realisation that we could lose our Cat One status. Then they set up a new company to buy the STC.

My recollection is that it was only one of them involved, the one who likes mixing with celebrities.

For what reason would you leave Carter out?
-
The best analogy I have seen about their reign and people being grateful is that it's like being run over by a negligent driver of a car, being on a life support machine through your injuries and then being grateful to the driver who put you there because he is paying for the electricity to keep you alive. Any yet the 'if it wasn't for Venkys where would we be' line is still trotted out. Unbelievable.

Do you think that had they taken over any other business they would have ripped up the blueprint, sacked extremely competent people and taken that business on a downward trajectory that has cost them millions?
-
We were eighth in the Premier League when they showeup and had £20m debt throughgood management. Jacks legacy was intact when they came - to say anything else is nonsense.

What about the impact on the local economy? Around 50000 fans would visit Blackburn over a nine month period and the majority wanted food and drink. Local businesses were generally the beneficiaries. Also the number of people employed by the club both full and part time. This badly advised rhetoric has worn thin now. They were told in the letter which is in the public domain that what they were doing was wrong and contravened regulations. This was sent by John Williams, Tom Finn and Martin Goodman. They ignored it and got rid of those three instead. Respect Jack Walkers legacy? They have peed all over it.

A cameo of Joe's ability, strength and work rate from Monday.

Everything at any football club is geared towards the first team and as such Tomasson wanted to give several players game time who needed it because they might be required for the run in. Imagine Rankin-Cancelo getting injured and Brittain struggling to get through games due to a lack of match fitness. We played Arsenal the other week with a full complement of players with first team experience and not a word said.

Seven shots on target from a full back. Amazing.

Sadly Bill Bancroft has passed away. He was he Rovers Chairman during some really difficult times and like many from the era sacrificed a lot for the good of the club and in many ways kept the club going helping to give us what we have today. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/april/11/former-chairman-sadly-passes-away/

Just show your season ticket card at the turnstiles as you would for a normal first team match. The only area open is the Family Stand.

I much prefer it with Carter. He has played at right back (so has Travis to be fair) and is far more athletic. Yesterday in the second half we pretty much played with a back three anyway as Joe spent more time all over the pitch. -
Rovers are at home to Forest tonight at Ewood in the semi-final of the PL Cup. It's free for season ticket holders too. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/april/11/preview--rovers-under-21s-v-nottingham-forest-under-21s/

Yesterday he actually played all those positions you mention anyway 😂😂. He just pops up everywhere and has been real asset since he came back in December. As someone rightly pointed out yesterday when Joe goes rampaging Carter slips across and covers the right side. Personally I would just leave him he at right back with a licence to roam. One of my friends now calls him Joe Rankin Cancelo 😂😂 -

We played Bolton in a Friday night live Sky match and the ball was in play for 48 minutes. I think the game unsurprisingly finished 0-0. Time wasting or consuming is an area which has gradually got worse and allowed to fester to such a degree no amount of additional time is surprising. If Collina gets his way (he bloody well should as he's the FIFA Head of Refereeing) it will change. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12830009/one-goal-could-make-a-difference-fifa-head-of-refs-pierluigi-collina-wants-correct-added-time-even-if-score-is-7-0 -

Dead right. Ball boys are there to get the ball back to the players as quickly as possible, just like the multi ball system. Personally I would do away with them and, as we saw in the World Cup have balls placed on cones around the field. I have done games where the home team is leading and the ball boys have disappeared into the ether, clearly obeying an instruction from above.
