  1. Scott has signed a new deal until 2027. Hopefully he regains his form soon and pushes for a starting place.
  2. Pears deserves to keep his place ahead of Kaminski. He hasn't done much wrong to warrant being dropped where as in pretty much each match he played since Burnley Kaminski has been responsible for at least one goal conceded in each game. Dropping Pears sends out the wrong message and one thing I'm learning with Tomasson is that if you have the shirt you keep it if you're performing, exactly how it should be. It appears the days of having favourites (Bowyer and Mowbray) are thankfully gone.
  3. In a similar vein Macclesfield announced this last week.
  4. Seeing him at close quarters yesterday I hadn't realised how one footed Brittain is. The jury is certainly still out for me.
  5. Yesterday was a good point earned against a very good Arsenal team. We were bossed for the first half and changed to a back four in the second half and matched them up in midfield. We were much better because of this and enjoyed more possession and attacking play although we didn't create too much. Gilsenan came on and had, up to then three of our best chances, one of which hit the post. Our perseverance paid off with a scrambled goal in stoppage time. Out of the first team squad I thought Edun looked the best starting at wing back and moving in to midfield in the second half. Mola, Wharton, Dolan and Brittain looked a long way off Championship football on this showing. Tomasson was in attendance and would, I think be happy with the result after the change of shape but disappointed with some individual performances.
  6. Anybody who is in need of a real live football fix can watch the under 21's against Arsenal today at the Lancashire FA ground in Leyland, kick off 1 pm. It's free for season ticket holders (you have to show it at the gate) and there could be a smattering of first team squad players getting valuable game time.
  7. I would have certainly liked something more radical in terms of pricing and innovation but I guess we have to be grateful for small mercies. For me it's about attracting new season ticket holders and I'm not certain this will entice too many. Waggott knows the usual 8500-9000 will generally renew irrespective of price so something like an 18 match flexi ticket to entice shift workers or fans travelling to midweek games who are reliant on public transport.
  8. They do Kenny, I have a couple of friends who are frequently disgusting by their own idiots. But in truth there does seem to be more knobs there than most clubs evidenced by the thousands singing a sick song about Jack Walker.
  9. It looks like Harry Pickering has a fan club. I saw this and didn't understand it at first.
  10. Another example of some of their 'supporters '. https://metro.co.uk/2022/05/15/two-burnley-fans-arrested-after-one-makes-nazi-salute-towards-tottenham-supporters-16648361/
  11. Middlesbrough have given them less tickets than we have but nothing has been said about it. https://tickets.burnleyfootballclub.com/PagesPublic/ProductBrowse/productHome.aspx?ProductSubType=AWAY
  12. Rovers are expected to receive an allocation of 2,275 tickets over the coming days, with on-sale information, including the phased priority sales structure, to be confirmed next week.
  13. We actually had a few hundred less than normal for the game there because they widened the segregation netting and took it from our allocation. And the reason they did that? Their Neanderthals being overtly aggressive to some Blackpool supporters, two of which were an old man and woman. I'll say it again - well done Rovers.
  14. I wonder if will send a plane over bemoaning their lack of tickets? 😂 After all they have previous in fly overs.
  15. I'd read that the low allocation was in retaliation to Blackpool giving them a similar amount earlier this season when only a few weeks before we were given around three thousand. We gave Nobbers the full DE allocation.
  16. Well done Rovers or the police for giving them the allocation they have. Hopefully they are subjected to the rigorous searches we endured at their place and Rovers prevent flags and flasks being taken into the ground. As the busiest steward in the world said to me as she threatened to throw me and my granddaughter out of their midden "we have a zero tolerance policy on flags". Gobshites.
  17. Out of the senior keepers group I would say Eastham has the best distribution.
  18. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lancashire-65036493 Usain Bolt is blue and white..........
  19. He has trained with the first team for most of the season the article says but having seen him in the under 21's he is a long way from the first team. Hopefully he gets a contract at another club but personally I think it will be League Two at best.
  20. I spoke to Waggott on this very subject a few years ago. The kick off for our last away match at Norwich was put back to 7.30 and Rovers laid on free coach travel for fans. I initially emailed Lindsey Talbot with a suggestion that it would be fairer to knock money off the ticket price in the interests of fairness. I knew of people going to their first away match to take advantage of this offer (I have no problem with that) and fans who drive, to by train or live away from Blackburn but to go most away matches were being overlooked. She said they couldn't do that but I sent her a link to the Norwich website in which they were doing exactly that for an upcoming game of theirs at Wigan. So then Swag takes up the cudgel, calls me and tells me what a good idea it was but it was too late to do anything for the Norwich game but they would do it in future to make sure every fan get a benefit. They subsidised tickets for Leicester but didn't on Sunday. One caveat for the subsidy on Sunday was that they used double decker buses with no real facilities and awfully uncomfortable but a lot cheaper. In my opinion this was simply to mitigate the subsidy they were offering.
  21. Three to leave. Makes sense as they aren't going to make it here. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/blackburn-rovers-transfer-decisions-talks-26522471
  22. Ewood is in a state of disrepair and the pitch is awful, both so because of a lack of investment. And neither impact on P&S. And they are subsidising us through their own ineptitude and gross mismanagement.
  23. He is only just getting up to speed after a couple of longish term injuries. He looks a decent prospect to me, strong, pacy and two good feet. He played down the middle today and took a couple of really tough challenges (one a borderline red that the referee didn't even recognise as a foul) and wasn't deterred as he seems to enjoy the physical side of the game.
  24. A welcome win of course but Preston will consider themselves unlucky. A mad goalmouth scramble saw a miss, great save and goal line clearance within a few seconds as we hung on. A late goal settled it for us. The final ball was too often disappointing for us but we progress to the semi-final. The two trialists, one from Huddersfield and one from West Brom weren't too impressive but it's always difficult to judge from one game although both got taken off.
