I'm going to see my Shop Steward about this. If it's not resolved we will be balloting for strike action. ๐๐

There was something romantic about the Vetch Field with a prison on one side and an army barracks on the other ๐. Russell Martin, the massively diluted version of Guardiola will hopefully still try and play out from the back with inadequate players which will really suit the preferred Tomasson formation. I'll be hugely disappointed if we don't get at least a point. -
And therein lies the problem. Young stewards will just not confront anybody who is deliberately using the wrong season ticket and in fairness I don't blame them. It needs a group of senior stewards manning several turnstiles randomly and rooting out the perpetrators.

Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Whereโs Gregg?
arbitro replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I can't speak for others but at Lincoln he was off the pace in the hour he played. Tomasson demands a high energy game from his front players which I don't think Dack can deliver yet. Given that he missed a chunk of pre season and not much playing time he is clearly behind the others in terms of fitness and that bit of sharpness. I'm certainly not writing him off and believe he will offer something but not just yet. -
Welcome to our world my friend.

I think the two points you mention are intrinsically linked. -

I would imagine that Jack Vale did pretty much everything Tomasson wanted from him given the way he wants to play. He pressed, was mobile and closed down from the front and on several occasions dropped deeper as Tomasson rotated his front players. He was naive on a couple of occasions and was out muscled a few times but in my view he can be pleased with his debut. -
Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

We noticed that too but both teams substitutes only came out about ten minutes into the half time period. The QPR subs then went through some coordinated drills but Rovers subs just wellied balls about. -
I'd read about this but seeing it shows what a knob Tomlin is. I would expect the majority of football fans to applaud the referee who was making his EFL debut after moving from Scotland where he was an SPL referee. Hopefully that will set the standard for disciplining players who wantonly delay restarts.

They have gone up I agree but I don't see other fast food outlets like McDonalds or Burger King putting up their prices by 25%. Sodexo has kicked off 2022 in a strong position after posting robust first quarter results. The international foodservice and facilities management provider said first quarter revenues rose 18.8% year-on-year to reach โฌ5.3bn ($6bn), with business activity back up to 95% of pre-Covid levels. -

A big disappointment yesterday was the price of chips which have gone up from ยฃ3.20 to ยฃ4. Somebody in the queue said pies were also ยฃ4. I know some will say don't buy them but for my granddaughter it's part of her match day experience. Do Rovers have any say in this or are Sodexho just allowed to profiteer at our expense? -

Dack can sulk all he wants but the realisation is that he has only played an hour at Lincoln and a BCD match at Brockhall in pre season. He missed a chunk of pre season training because of injury and I'd wager his stats reflect that. At Lincoln he just didn't look anywhere near fit enough for the game Tomasson wants to play. Over the next few weeks he can get some game time and improve his fitness. Until then, for me he has to be content with being on the bench. -

The scoreboard clock should stop at 45 and 90 minutes. Essentially it's to prevent controversy. If the fourth official indicates three minutes and a goal is scored after the scheduled three minutes there would be an out in the stadium (although the time indicated is a minimum). Although anybody can use their watches to time it but not many do (I always do pretty much out of habit). -

I know we advertised recently for a Casual Scoreboard Operator but this bloke today took it literally. He kept the clock going for the additional two minutes at the end of the first half which he shouldn't, was doing the same for the additional three at the end of the game but unfathomably stopped the clock on 92.14. -

Great start to the Tomasson era with lots of glimpses of how he wants us to play. Really good intensity, quick incisive passing and good movement. There were times when the levels we all want to see dropped off and QPR had a couple of decent spells but overall it was comfortable. The biggest thing for me was the collective work rate as every player put a real shift in. At the final whistle several of our players dropped to their knees in what looked like sheer exhaustion to me - exactly what I want to see from a Rovers team. For me Hedges was our stand out player but not far behind were Buckley and Travis. Our centre halves were generally comfortable in possession and dealing with the lively QPR strikers. But the result is the main thing and I'm genuinely enthused after what I saw pre season and today. Tomasson is clearly looking to play a certain way and it might take time but the early signs are for me really positive. -

When they went off sale yesterday QPR had sold 1185 tickets for today and they can still be bought at Ewood. It's plain stupid in my view to isolate them upstairs in the Darwen End as it's been reported. This was Mowbrays idea (as confirmed in a Fans Consultation Meeting) so now he is history there is no reason to keep doing it. They should be doing their best to increase the atmosphere and away supporters can contribute to this. -

Nothing radical in Law John just some cosmetic things which won't really have a bearing on the games. The usual instructions have gone out though about clampdowns on various things. This year it's time wasting and dissent, the former I have been critical of for some time now. Also the referees have been told to be more tolerant of physical contact, in other words let a few challenges go which is something we all (well our generation anyway) want to see. I just hope these are consistently applied. If they are the game and spectators should benefit. -

There has been a change to the number of substitutes that can be made. Teams in the Championship, League One and League Two were only able to use three substitutes from seven available during the 2021-22 campaign. The number of available substitutes will remain at seven, but teams will now be able to make their five changes across three opportunities, not including half-time. -

If this doesn't get the juices flowing then nothing will. -
It depends if they are involved in play or involved with another player in which you don't always have to touch the ball. Gaining an advantage is the consideration.
