  1. I assume the part in black type was about Tomasson and his impending departure. You can understand why it should not be revealed on here
  2. No surprise that the players want to see more fans in the ground. But it’s in their hands to start winning matches and give fans something to cheer about I’m fed up with the excuses for Tomasson and claims that he doesn’t deserve this. He’s a failing manager who is leading the club towards relegation. His resignation offer should be accepted forthwith
  3. Oliver Kay is a former Times football writer. Big name, good contacts. You'd hope he might provide some insight
  4. The conclusion has to be that Venky's don't want promotion. Our 2 big chances to go up in recent seasons, under Mowbray and Tomasson, and the funding was never there to give us that final push into the playoffs. I think it suits them for Rovers to be out of the top flight, where the glare of publicity and worldwide attention that the Premier League receives would cast a spotlight on the owners and their "activities". I still maintain Rovers as a club have for the past decade been used as a money laundering (tax dodging) vehicle by Venkys
  5. That would be ironic and it's a delicious thought, I'd love him back. I think he's enjoying counting his millions at Casa St James's though
  6. I know, he's just joined Aberdeen...... that's why I said it was a matter of days
  7. It's more of a fire fighting exercise than a fresh start. We're in a relegation battle here. If we somehow survive the summer will be the time for a complete revamp. Without any money of course
  8. And for the about the third occasion the timing is wrong to get Neil Warnock in and sort out the mess, this time by a matter of days.
  9. Tomasson's position is/was untenable. He's been undermined because the "project" has changed, and he's been told lies by the managemernt. And results have been dire, sackable. . Either way, he should leave the club
  10. I thin it's more likely she doesn't want to spend any more money and is seeking to recoup some of the losses built up over the years. Sadly, the Wharton deal might have given her encouragement to hang on in the hope of selling other assets.
  11. Would you also on something this important (and bearing in mind previous mistakes) back it up with a phone call to the league just to make sure it has arrived? I'm assuming the league is contactable on important days like the last day of a transfer window. We do it in business and at a personal level with very important things. Checking up and a belts and braces approach is never wrong
  12. Can someone explain the difference between the two? Cheston does the plus column and Hasan does the minus column? Same with head coach and director of football: two people doing the job of one And the club is supposed to be short of money
  13. Memo from the Ewood board: All staff to attend IT refresher course on Friday item 1: how to use the send button The is beyond parade now. Or they’re telling lies again
  14. We were on the pitch protesting against the board more than 50 years ago. Good luck with your WhatsApp discussion
  15. The Cup game will be on national TV but it was a response to the idea to contact Newcastle fans - which I think would be a waste of time for the reasons stated. There's differing views on how we should go about the protests and this is one forum where they can be expressed. If you don't understand that perhaps you should stick to your WhatsApp group where you might be more useful?
  16. Agree. It's a daft idea to target the Newcastle game. They're a deluded lot who think they support the biggest club in the world. They look down on us like they do most clubs and we won't get any sympathy from them let alone support
  17. Freudian slip there in view of speculation that Rovers might have spelt his name wrongly on the paperwork
  18. There's a few variants of the name McGuire........McGwire, McGwyre, McQuire, for instance, and, most commonly, Maguire It wouldn't be surprising if they misspelt it on the form but it would be typical of the low calibre people at Ewood
  19. Tomasson has to carry the can for the current crisis on the pitch - it's his job to get good results and he's failing badly at present. So they're right about that. But to absolve the cancer at the heart of the club and the mess Venky's have created over the past decade or so as they are doing is just putting their head in the sand.
  20. Same here. He looks fed up and wants out. And at the moment, with the team in freefall and him unable to do anything about it, he's doing more harm than good. They won't sack him because it costs money; I wish he would walk away today
  21. Well done with all this. In view of events and while it is live and feelings are high a strong statement today would be welcome
  22. They're the sort who, despite being underpaid and exploited for years, are eternally thankful to their employers just for giving them a job. They would never rock the boat for fear of losing it and go through life in awe of their supposed superiors. They're the sort who never question any sort of officialdom, never think that people at the top might be corrupt, or acting only for themselves, that they only got their through luck, or exaggerating their own abilitites, but are in fact totally useless. They're the sort who vote for the same team every time at elections despite that team never having acting in their interests. They are dangerous because they like the status quo, and are against change, even when it is blindingly obvious that change is desperately needed. This is what Rovers fans fighting the Ewood regime are up against. The enemy within.
  23. Thanks for clearing that up. My post was conjecture so it’s going to know there are folk on here who have the full facts at their fingertips
