Enough to buy a very decent case of red with the winnings! -

Give over! It's what I feel - put my money where my mouth is and lumped on Rovers at 19/10. -

A banker home win for me following two creditable draws on the road. Couldn't think of better opponents for Rovers to face - to me, Swansea are an accident waiting to happen defensively (even more so than Rovers). Think Martin is vastly overrated and confuses himself as well as his team - another who likes 'to build', "we are 18 months in now - I hope we get a lot longer to keep building it". 3-0 to Rovers - Dack and Brereton twice. -
Fully agree. Were the EFL to blame for the failure to complete on Brierley? I think not. Seemingly, Rovers submitted paperwork which was incomplete and incorrect. I think Rovers made a dog's breakfast of trying to complete the signings of both O'Brien and Brierley. If anyone on this MB applies for a passport, driving licence etc and fails to complete an application form correctly then the application is rejected. It's that simple and, IMO, Rovers have no one else to blame other than themselves. Yet again, I think the club is failing to communicate with its fans in any way, shape or form - it's appalling management and further evidence of the contempt with which we are treated. If any business, other than football, behaved in such a fashion then its doors would soon be closed.

Agree, hindsight is easy and wonderful. However, successful executive managers all have foresight and judgement and set the agenda rather than waiting for events to consume them! Sadly, IMO, Waggott and Broughton are just vacuous flounderers drifting along as the tide ebbs and flows.
-
I think there is an understanding the best offer was around the £8/9million mark and that is not 'very poor' given the circumstances we were in. We should have accepted and brought in 3 or 4 good quality players - all round, we would have been much stronger. Instead, no one at Ewood had the balls to call it.

A picture paints a thousands words! IMO, Waggott day dreaming and somewhere else, Pasha 'what am I doing here', Broughton thoroughly pissed-off, Benson 'can't believe my luck' and 'lights on but no one's home' Lowe. -
The fantasy world belonging to @Gav!!! There you go again - WHERE did I predict a Wigan win? By all means comment on my posts but please get your facts right and stop erroneous spinning in order to have a pop at me. Think the only utter bunkum relates to your delusional obsession with Josh Maja!

Can we drop all this nonsense about we'd have won, and even comfortably, if we'd taken our chances. Every professional football club have fans, and managers, spurting out if only we'd taken that chance or those chances, if only we'd defended better, if only referees were better. The league table does not reflect 'IFS' but is the resultant of the cold hard reality of results. I think at the moment we are a total sh1te football club from top to bottom playing, in the main, uninspiring and boring football on a sh1te pitch in an ageing and tired stadium - luck has played a huge part in us fluking a few results (that we didn't deserve) in the first half of the season. Just look at our results since the World Cup - we are heading for the bottom half of the league. We have just failed to beat bottom of the league Wigan at home who had scraped 3 points from their 9 previous games. It's indefensible. I think more and more supporters will vote with their feet and anyone who does not think our club is in crisis should wake up and smell the coffee.

Much improved second half. Hope he's not done his left hammy - saw him clutching several times.

'Absolute tosser' are your words! For God's sake, look at some of the 'great' teams - Leeds, Reaney, Hunter, Charlton, Giles, Bremer - Forest, Burns, Lloyd, - Liverpool, Smith, Souness - Arsenal, Adams, Keown, Viera, Storey, - Chelsea, Harris, Osgood - Man U, Keane, Scholes. All players with talent but who knew how to look after themselves, their team and the opposition! Has the penny dropped?
-
and why the feck would you want either of those relative managerial failures!?
-
Too many 'happy clappers'. You should have been around in the 60's/70's when folk invaded the pitch and remonstrated in front of the directors' box and then did the same in Nuttall street - I did my fair share! And the buggers listened!
-
I didn't. @neophoxreferred to him as a 'scumbag' - my view, we need one or two of those in our team. IMO, we are a bunch of mard boys with little passion or aggression. Travis, FFS, he'd get seen off at Pleasington on a Sunday morning.
-
Think you are having a laugh! IMO, both as soft as sh1te - likes of Souey, Batty, Keane, Andy Todd, Mokoena, Dioufy etc would have eaten them alive and them spat them out.
-
Just what we need. When you have the likes of Andy Todd and Diouf in your team, the opposition and their fans hate you. We have far too many 'nice' boys.
-
Sadly, Wigan look more up for it. What is Buckley doing on that field? Travis only marginally better. Dack and BBD poor. Vale not involved enough - a couple of decent moments but we need much, much, much more from our centre forward. As for Thomas - disappointing. Good job his crossing and set plays are good !!! (hope that's not lost on some).
-
Really fear for us tonight. Wigan get an early goal and could become very toxic.

I think he nicked quite a bit from this MB! Nonetheless, nice to see him stirring the pot a bit! -

Busy day for me today so only quickly skimmed through today's news/postings about this all sorry mess. An internal review!? Nearly choked - just who the feck at Rovers has the impartiality, nous and b@lls to carry this out? There is not a single senior manager at Rovers I trust. As I've said before, in my eyes, the club lost any remaining credibility it had with their 'secretive Brockhall plan'. All this business about 'complexity' is, IMO, a nonsense. Let's be honest, and anyone with a legal background on here would confirm, to any half decent solicitor, the contracts for O'Brien (loan / purchase / player's terms) would have been meat and drink. Presumably, Rovers used their usual solicitors - any legal firm with a sports' sector and practicing in the football world would already have have standard draft contracts to hand which would only need variation as appropriate. Personally, not been impressed by Broughton since he arrived at the club. Some say judge him on results and I have. IMO, a bullsh1tter out of his depth. -

An interesting day to put it mildly. Can't recall when I've spoken to so many people wanting to discuss Rovers - sadly for all the wrong reasons. Finding even the remaining diehard Blues, who think Rovers can do no wrong, are struggling with this debacle. Even @chaddyrovershas been struck dumb! I understand Rovers have been swamped by emails of complaint and I personally know of half a dozen who have written in. Though Broughton showed some balls, it was, IMO, a classic line in smooth bullsh1t - seen it too often and don't buy it. I think Nicko is absolutely on the ball with this. His revelations are incredulous and startling. I think it shows us as being so amateurish - for feck's sake if you can't complete forms properly you shouldn't be in any type of employment let alone involved in £multi million business transactions. Live on Sky TV, those going on Monday night have a terrific opportunity to vent their anger and make the wider football world realise just what, IMO, is an absolute sh1t show of a club. -

I understand Manchester is centre of the universe during the transfer window with suites of rooms taken in one particular hotel. Medicals also lined up at Manchester City!!! -

That is not the point. A potential business transaction can be varied on a very regular basis right up until closure. A deal is not done until it's over the line. If I had a £1million for every business transaction I've been party to that has changed closed to completion then I would be an extremely wealthy man perhaps even able to buy Rovers myself! -

Think you miss the point. With potentially big calls to be made in the final hours of deadline day, the CEO should have been there were all the action was taking place whether that be at a hotel in Manchester, Ewood Park or Brockhall. Same applies to Pasha. Absolutely indefensible. If they wanted a senior figure at Brum then Bob Coar could and should have stepped in.
