  1. Past hour
  2. Wharton limping off injured now. πŸ˜’
  3. Has it ever been confirmed beyond doubt that we have any sort of sell on clause? All I can remember seeing is Β£18m rising to a max of Β£24m etc.
  4. The way Man City have started the season i can see them paying that.
  5. Chaddy used the "A" word!
  6. Wrexham, massive Commercial from the USA and given who their owners are can attract big US companies similar with Birmingham to sponsor them. Our owners doesn't used the contacts for sponsorship/commercial revenue
  7. Really good insight, I was excited by Baradji not because I've seen him play but a lot of people have spoke about him. There's no wonder clubs were chasing him based on that data...Worry is if he can stay fit, if he can then he looks like he'll be a good'en.
  8. At least there's no worry hanging over us about potential last minute departures. With the exceptions of Hyam and Tronstad I can't imagine anyone having any interest in any of our players and there's not much noise about either leaving this window. We've already quite efficiently got rid of the assets.
  9. So... . it's a) A strategic plan to get rid of all the defeatist culture and deadwood that has brought years of "bottling" and failure b) A cost cutting exercise with obvious benefits to their (partner) agents c) A purge of players and staff, who challenged the club's lack of ambition and bullying behaviour by under-qualified senior management
  10. Not by us. Assuming Leonard goes it'll be roughly a nil net spend won't it?
  11. What would this net us? Close to an extra Β£20 million. (I know I know, before anyone says):
  12. Like being dead, stupidity is only painful for others.

  14. Lol. You know what I mean. If we can get into a position over the course of a season to chuck away a play off place Id be exceptionally surprised.
  15. Telalovic didn’t score in 20 appearances for us. He was a flop. He scored a few last season in the German second tier. That tells me it’s probably an easier league than the Championship. I bet this year in the Bundesliga will be a different story. Awful signing.
  16. Tbf they did that literally 2 weeks ago!
  17. Even Charlton have a new spend of about Β£10M lol
  18. As I said, intentionally provocative. As much as Brittain especially did well both he and Hyam handled themselves poorly under JDT in the end. That said - to be explicitly clear for the dumb dumbs - I don't think selling at the rate we have and buying untested internationals is a viable strategy to the long championship season
  19. Something of a tangent to my point, no? On your point -well maybe -although more likely an agent/Gestede/Pahsa driven dream that things can remain the same on an even tighter budget and fewer personnel. And if we accept you view re Brittain and Hyam, it didn't stop us coming 7th last season -but then you know the real reason why that happened -and it's not JE's departure, much as the club would like to spin it so.
  20. Seems our business is done lads. Underwhelming window. We all know the real cause of this! VENKYS AND PASHA OUT!!!
  21. I'm a football nerd, I've worked today from home and had games on from 8am onwards πŸ™ƒ Inter Milan on now.
  22. Absolute shitload of money has been spent this summer. Usually the Championship doesn't have two pennies to rub together.
  23. If I don't watch it, how can I prove other posters wrong. πŸ˜ƒ He just did a lovely back heel flick in build up to the opening goal. The type of skill I barely remember coming off for him in a Rovers shirt. Would have tripped and fell over for us.
  24. It is an interesting argument that. The "Old Guard" did indeed manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory several times. Not sure if the "New Guard" will even be able to get in a position to do that however.
