  2. I think this attitude in some ways comes with being a moderator, he keeps having a pop at me on the other side of the forum, quite right to if he feels the need, but this moderator stuff is done out of the goodness of his heart, the forum stuff too, we need to keep that in mind. He wouldn't be the first moderator to be accused of the above and he certainly won't be the last. Keep up the good work @K-Hod, you're walking the walk and not as many do, just talking the talk. On this 3rd kit, I hate the badge in the middle, I hated the last time we had a badge in the middle too, its shoddy and lacks any sort of imagination.
  3. I'm not suggesting K Hod is an apologist for the Club at all. I haven't seen the minutes for the last meeting but in the meeting or two before that I complimented him on seemingly being the only one prepared to ask a difficult question or two. I do think the Forum is far too soft on the Club in general given what's happened in the last 3 years or so. K Hod seems to particularly resent any criticism of the FF as a body and that's fine, its his prerogative as a member. Specifically on the shirts every year you'll probably get some people who think they're atrocious, some who think they're absolutely fantastic and some who think they're a bit "meh". If you think they're atrocious you should be allowed to say so - it's a free country. In general if a lot more people think they're atrocious than fantastic then the Club are probably doing something wrong. If it's vice versa then the person who doesn't like them is going to have to lump it. I can't stand the pink shirt personally but I acknowledge it seems to have been generally very popular. I think this year's shirts are far worse. It's an anniversary year and they needed to be really special and they're particularly poor imo. That said Im not half as annoyed by the Colours as the general lack of acknowledgment of the anniversary, the fact we're wearing away colours at home and the change to the halves which all seem to be an obvious watering down of the expectation we'll always play in our traditional colours. Maybe not the most pressing thing to complain about under this ownership. Just another thing.
  4. RoversTillIDie, I believe, just wants a simpler time, when he can offer cash money for a ticket- a simple cash transaction, without having to get on a computer to do one. Nothing is simpler, or takes less time, than, walk up, “pay at the gate.” For the record, computer generated tickets is the only way we have of paying to get into games here in Texas- no more, “pay at the gate.” Thus, I don’t go to near as many games as I used to.
  5. and if he gets injured..........?????
  6. Ok, I just sent another, marked, “2nd request.” Not that I expect an answer. Just wondering why the club does not do a little more to help its fans, particularly, the remote ones. I will cheer for Rovers, no matter if they’re in the Premier League, or the National League. The least they could do for we fans, is to acknowledge receipt of an inquiry about the club we love.
  7. So any more on that Harry Pickering link, or was it bogus?
  8. I think that print would’ve worked on the green kit (which I like, and reflects the colours of the town badge). In this, it doesn’t work imo. Would’ve been better to have in subtle font the names of the greats who have played for our club instead of copy/paste landmark pictures.
  9. The point of playing him tomorrow is that if nobody makes an adequate bid, we will have to keep him and get him fit. It also signals to prospective buyers that we are willing to keep him if they don't pay enough, which helps get a proper price.
  10. They'll be over the moon covering all this windows outgoings with that one sale but at least it fits the trading model at last.
  11. What point are you making? That's not a good thing. Nor does it impact what I was saying in my post at all.
  12. We need the Championship version of Andy Todd - without the dark side obviously - so this guy sounds just the ticket.
  13. Rovers.co.uk ’contact us’
  14. Not because we released them. Because we wanted to keep them but failed to give a decent contract offer. We lost them to Derby.
  15. Come on Simon. There's a world of difference between opinions on a shirt design and opinions on how the club has been run for the last 15 years. I find the idea that K-Hod has somehow become an apologist for the club since he joined the Forum to be completely ridiculous - I've heard him expressing his opinions strongly in meetings. That he might post what someone from the club said at a Forum doesn't mean that he agreed with it, any more than if I was doing it. As far as shirts go I have never owned or desired to own a Rovers shirt, so am pretty agnostic on the designs. But I realise that lots of people want to buy one or more every year and wear it often and that's fine. From time to time we have had input on potential designs but have never been directly involved in any final decisions. Given the lead times I imagine we are already too late now to affect the 2026-27 designs. I bought a few shirts for my sons when they were young and I asked for a 125th anniversary shirt as a present when they came out but my wife ignored my entreaties to buy one when they came out and missed them. So I will be getting a 150th shirt when they are launched. I'm guessing that it might be blue and white.

  17. Wouldn’t say clearly going to go he will only go when we get a fair fee for him so until then he should be available as normal
  18. What as in (for example) "Venky's/ Steve Kean/ Waggott/ Pasha/Gestede they're not really for me but it's fair enough if other people like them" Whilst you seem completely happy for people on here to have a broad range of opinions on anything you seem completely intolerant of any criticism of anything that's said at the Forum and want to take your bat and ball home anytime anyone says anything critical. We all get that everyone gives up their time for free etc and we are all appreciative of that but no-one forces you to do it and you have to accept that not everyone will agree with what the Club say or do or the responses all the time. In fact probably not very often in the current climate.
  19. Phil Phillips And The Twilights - Sea Of Love
  20. If they knew their history they would realise that Darwen FC were once the Dingles of the day
  21. All part of the 'Rovers IS Blackburn' strategy - only refer to Blackburn/Darwen landmarks, only make any effort to promote the club/sell tickets in Blackburn/Darwen, only engage sponsors based in Blackburn/Darwen. Smaller and smaller we go.
  22. Dubois to throw absolutely everything at Usyk, and try to roughhouse him in the first 5 rounds. If he's not KO'd him by then Usyk wins easily. DD has a Puncher's chance but still expect Usyk to win.
  23. The green one is quite nice, this one is a bit grim.
  24. Yeah but in fairness jdt had one of the full backs pushed on playing like they had a free role, they had the worst goalkeeper I'd seen in Whalstedt behind them and players like Markanday and Garrett starting a number of games yet riding the bench in League One and 2 the following season In JDTs first season we took a few hammerings but in the main the defence was solid
  25. Living near Hull I have seen McLaughlin many times and have friends and family who support Hull City. He is a popular player and generally regarded as being a solid pro. Unspectacular but reliable. I think he’s a good sort and has the championship experience our other signings lack. He’s always looked a bit short of pace when I’ve seen him, but that didn’t seem to hold Danny Batth back last season. Sensible signing I feel. Scored a lovely own goal for us last season too!
