  1. Past hour
  2. The clubs don't give a fuck about supporters, just as long as season ticket income is met.
  3. It really is bordering on the extreme mickey taking with the Ipswich and Norwich games being brought forward to 12.30 kick off times. Anybody who is driving will be leaving at 6 am allowing for weather and traffic. There should be a provision in the contract whereby clubs can make a couple of challenges to the Sky selection (not that our lot would care) simply as a consideration to travelling long distances at ungodly hours.
  4. Let's see what the police have to say about this. Remember Rovers wanted us to believe that our 12pm kick offs against Preston were on police safety grounds. So how they tally that with an 8pm Friday game will be interesting.
  5. Both Norwich and Ipswich away moved to 12:30pm kick offs. Thanks Sky and the clubs for agreeing to it!
  6. It's appalling. Really does highlight who we have running this circus.
  7. Not content with just 1, Sky have decided that both of our games v Preston this season should be played on Friday night.
  8. Here is the full squad; Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Nick Pope (Newcastle United) Defenders: Dan Burn (Newcastle United), Marc Guéhi (Crystal Palace), Reece James (Chelsea), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Nico O'Reilly (Manchester City), Jarell Quansah (Bayer Leverkusen), Djed Spence (Tottenham Hotspur), John Stones (Manchester City). Midfielders: Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Jordan Henderson (Brentford), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa), Alex Scott (AFC Bournemouth), Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace). Forwards: Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United), Eberechi Eze (Arsenal), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Marcus Rashford (Barcelona, loan from Manchester United), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal). Trafford, Loftus-Cheek, Lewis-Skelly, Gibbs-White, Watkins lose out this time. All those, excluding Loftus-Cheek, were in Tuchel's squad for the September fixtures. It looks like Tuchel is settled on 18-20 players. There is a long way to go before the final squad is picked yet are Palmer, Grealish, and Alexander-Arnold on the outs?
  9. This was the first Football Manager I ever played. It was very very basic, but I lost weeks of my life and a girlfriend 🤣 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_Manager_(1982_video_game)
  10. Today
  11. Middlesbrough are on the slide. They got off to an excellent start but results are starting to fall away. He's from Shropshire, probably a Wolves fan, played 100 games for them and worked there as a coach. If he has family still in that area that helps. He can jump up a division, get paid double what he's on at Middlesbrough, have 7 months minimum back in the PL, if he keeps them up he'll be worshipped and get a huge bonus. It appears to be a huge thankless task but this time last year they were in a similar state yet went on to survive comfortably.
  12. Do the 'Legends' actually have a full team? 13 confirmed names? Mimms, Hendry, Kilgallon, Bentley, Dunn, Atkins, MGP, Newell, Rhodes, Gallacher, Derbyshire, Conway, Evans
  13. Even though he's a new signing, I think McLoughlin is the obvious choice unless Pickering plays.
  14. Yes, agree. What I meant was that those three are at an acceptable level, after which we basically have nothing beyond kids and players who are out of position. So we'll almost definitely have to get Pickering/Ribeiro to fill in, but we have to do our utmost to get those three playing for the most amount of games as possible. So if that means we take the hit by playing a weaker side vs Derby and giving Carter the international break, so be it.
  15. Who do you give the armband to without Cantwell, Tronstad, Wharton or even Toth?
  16. I think if Alebiosu gets called up to AFCON then we'll shift more of our attacking focus over to the left and play Miller at RWB. The problem right now is with Carter out, we will struggle to play three at the back unless we recall O'Riordan. We shouldn't be dreaming of the play-offs, but with 3 points against Ipswich and our 'luck balance' on neutral, we would've been darn close at this point. Hope the players step up to the occasion tomorrow, it's a big game and absolutely vital to send Eustace back with zero points.
  17. I was at Leicester and Bristol and thought we were excellent in both games. Left me feeling significantly more positive about the season to come and even began, optimistically, to look at that top 6 - esp with the league being so open this year. But this week reality has struck. Tronstad suspended. Toth out for 3 months. Alebeosiu potentially getting called up to AFCON in December. We simply don’t have the squad to compete. As much as I’ve been impressed I think this game is a step too far for our squad. Derby are on great form with key players hitting the mark and have a near fully fit squad. Meanwhile we will be missing Toth, Wharton Carter, Tronstad, Baradji, Cantwell. All of whom would probably start when fit with Toth, Carter, Tronstad and Cantwell probably being our 4 best players. If we could get through this game with a point I would be thrilled. Keep momentum going with key players returning after the international break. For once I feel like it has come at a good time. Optimistically I’m going 1-1 but realistically I see a 2nil Derby with Diaz grabbing at least one. Hope I’m wrong.
  18. I dont think the managers get that much time. I think Edward’s is their eighth manager in the last ten years.
  19. Yeah just checked the map and BBE and JWE look to have sold well. Absolutely loads left in the Riverside though and BBE Upper not open
  20. I definitely think rushing him back is a risk we cant afford to take. But I dont think we can get away with those 3 considering the number of matches we have to come. Carter is so injury prone and either of the others could pick up an injury or a ban. Its a totally avoidable mess of a situation.
  21. Got my ticket yesterday and options were pretty sparse.
  22. Boro are 2/1 Promotion Wolves are 4/1 To Stay Up i.e. right now Boro are more likely than Wolves to be playing in the top tier next season Interesting choice for him. Wolves is a bit of a free hit - nobody will blame him if they go down and he’d have a big Championship budget to play with the season after But Boro is a great place to manage, they have a good owner who will back you and give you time (Carrick was there a while). Similar-ish stuff happened with Kieran McKenna when Ipswich were flying. He stayed and took them up, now they’re back fighting to get in top 6 again in the Championship.
