When VI came here his stock wasn't particularly high and doubt he had offers piling up. JDT had just won a few titles and his managerial career was on the up. To a lesser extent Eustace will have had interested parties too, his time at Brum ended prematurely in most people's eyes. There was probably much less of a reason to sell VI the dream, aka blatantly bullshit to him, his expectations may be much lower as a result.....
