  1. Past hour
  2. Technically we washed our face or made a profit on Telalovic, Ennis and Wahlsted. I'm not ready to write off O'Riordan just yet. The Forshaw, Dennis / Woodrow signings are what I expect under Gestede.
  3. I've just noticed that 'The Bear' season four has just landed - After telling people to watch it, I've still not see season 1 all the way through!
  4. I liked Eustace a lot when he was here (I'm obviously indifferent about him now), but you do have to wonder. He's bought Sanderson too. If he has Premier League ambitions he has to remove the crutch of relying on older / familiar players.
  5. A staggering opinion - had to double check that it wasn't a Chaddy posting. Would be equally staggered if more than 10% share your opinion. Spot on.
  6. We're so dysfunctional that I think this club is powered by individuals. Broughton was very good. Park was clearly very good. I have no faith in Gestede to pull a rabbit out of the hat.
  7. This saga might finally come to an end
  8. Joke's on you, I was broken years ago. A couple of seasons freezing your balls off in the Jack Walker Stand watching Hedges and Dolan as your wide men would break any man. The CIA should take notes.
  9. Andrews has been confirmed as the new head coach at Brentford https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cn4lj9gv7lno
  10. Oh do give over - George Hirst, Telalovic, Ennis, O Riordan, Wahlsted, Forshaw, Dennis, Woodrow, to name but a few? The only time I'd argue we excelled on a limited budget was last summer when John Park was here.
  11. ANY Rovers Book forwarded by those Pune Wasters wont be going on my Bookshelf. GTF!!😠
  12. What about turning this into a Venky's out day and an unofficial fans takeover day. Obviously, anything inside the ground could be frowned upon, but perhaps a big helium balloon release form the Fernhurst car park, face painting with blue and white halves and Venky's out in red and maybe some T Shirts with Venky's out on them. The club seem to be giving a collective two fingers to the fans on this, so lets give it back to them and really shove it up them.
  13. Niall Ellis gone from Stoke to Blackpool
  14. As critical as I am of the Club and its senior management this just appears to be critique for the sake of it Our recruitment team has continued to mould a squad that is far better than the pot of money they are given to work with. With a budget that is way down in the bottom 5, we have challenged for play offs more often than not We do not have the wage or transfer budgets to gazump other teams in our league. Teams in the league below us could offer higher wages - Wrexham and Blues. That is not the fault of the scouting team, data analysts or other members of the recruitment department, it is the fault of Venkys. Our recruitment team has to be one of the best in the league
  15. For clarity @RevidgeBlue, had commented upon the fantasy pursuit of Kapuadi and then @Nealposted about Poku to QPR. Followed up with post to state that 3 very decent and proven players had gone to Championship clubs for very modest investments.
  16. Yeah, I’ve seen Cowdray, Barrington, Dexter and just about everyone since. Also been on Madras cricket ground 35 years ago - although there was no game on then. Such a lot of greats, such a lot of memories. From all that two cricketers stick out in my mind. Firstly Shane Warne. Two reasons. Firstly what a fabulous bowler and secondly - what a man. I found him so interesting to listen to and would have listened to him all day. He had the lot, he did the lot. Secondly Clive Loyd. Just seeing his 6’5” frame ambling slowly to the crease. He was immense. Never forget that sight. Then obviously his batting and the way he could destroy any bowler. Sometimes his fielding was overlooked. You would think he’d be so slow in the field but he fielded in the covers and was known as supercat. Try taking a quick single to Clive and you were taking a mighty risk. It only took him about three strides to cover the 22 yards. Fabulous players. So lucky to have seen them.
  17. I know the new board members will bring some new ideas, into play, but I think a Trust led campaign to ensure the 150th anniversary is celebrated properly, is likely to attract new membership too. Given what was said about the foreword in the planned book and how it was suggested that if the owners do insist on doing that, it will die a death, I think we need to accept that it will pass off with hardly any proper recognition, if we leave this to the club.
  18. Today
  19. Jay And The Americans - Living Above Your Head
  20. That’s quite optimistic for you. Welcome to the club, Steve!
  21. The transfer thread has already broken a few and we’ve not even said goodbye to June. July will be epic πŸ˜‰
  22. Wagg's crisps and Β£5 million add on when we get promoted.
  23. I'll give it a 5% chance incase Legia crumble and accept a low fee
  24. It was Mercer I thought was talking about the CB. We've not been linked anywhere with Poku have we?
  25. As always, I hope you lose your shirt.
