The January 2026 Transfer Window

How do we know? What's the highest level he has played at? -

I completely disagree. I'd say when the chips are down we can't get any sort of result under VI whatsoever. Right from the moment he very first walked into the Club. We saw it last season with the failure to make the playoffs and we're seeing it now that things are getting tighter and tighter. One win in twelve and two goals in seven hundred and odd minutes. That's not really indicative of a team that can pull out the odd result when needed. -

As Shakespeare said when I asked him: The teansfer window thread is but a walking shadow, a poor player, That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, And then is heard no more. It is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing. -

Last three hours in Mumbles, absolutely hammering it down. If this was a home game it would be cancelled by now. No sign of a let up either…🌧️👀 -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

I refuse to believe we're going to be bought by anyone. Hope is a bad thing at Ewood Park. However, right now I'd accept a consortium of James Corden, P. Diddy and the Chinese Communist Party taking over if it meant the end of the Raos. -
Said it before, but really think Garrett should be given a go at LB, as he was sometimes in his youth career. Another thing, Khan has been criticised but there's a few U21 players that could be questioned. For example, how many goals have the forwards scored... Someone like Stritch plays pretty much every game but rarely gets an assist, let alone a goal. It is harsh to pick on him alone but the overall standard seems poor, which is especially worrying as more youth players get promoted to try to save the sinking ship. The biggest criticism, of course, for the management and ownership who have left the squad weak and threadbare.

Not sure why you and RF 99 are sniping at Mercer when he got Jorgensen right before anyone else. -

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
RevidgeBlue replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
If there was a break clause in Vi's contract allowing him to be sacked after 6 months it should have been activated after he blew us almost instantly out of the play off reckoning. The fact it wasn't activated then doesnt inspire any confidence that they'll act now either. -

Seems like it's lack of accountability by design. No clear accountability means mistakes go unpunished and root causes are not identified. If your feet are under the table (SS, RG... AO TBC?) then blame is shifted onto the next mug. Rinse, repeat. -
I just want to know how many mods came rushing into this thread to start dishing out warnings for political posts

In layman’s terms- too many Chiefs, not enough Indians’. Hang on a minute, perhaps not the best analogy 😅. -
How about Friedel Salgado Samba Nelsen Zurab Tugay Nzonzi Duff MGP Santa Cruz McCarthy We'll score more goals than you

Pedersen v Duff. Really ? Duff was world class, Pedersen was just a decent Prem level player.

Could this be our highest PPS? (Posts per signing) What's our current Xs? (Expected signings compared to rumours?) I'd say we've only had 3 transfer rumours this window? -
Best... Freidel (USA) Neill (AUS) Berg (NOR) Hendry (SCO) Givet (FRA) Gillespie (NI) Tugay (TUR) Batty (ENG) Duff (ROI) Santa Cruz (PAR) Bellamy (WAL) Pains me to leave Shearer out but don't fancy any of the other foreign midfield options over the years, Nzonzi was good for us but shouldn't be near a best 11. Worst... Leutwiler (CAN) Henley (WAL) Orr (ENG) Dailly (SCO) De Neve (BEL) Kargbo (SLE) Petrovic (SER) Taveres (CAP) De Pedro (ESP) Gueye (SEN) Stokes (ROI)

Of those... Gudjohnsen and Morishita - we definitely miss these two, who are decent enough players at this level. Miller - His long throws make me want to slam my head into a wall. Carter & Wharton - Injured is their default status. Montgomery - Vast majority of his appearances were as a sub, has looked OK but absolutely impossible to know if he's at the level required. Litherland - Ironically only involved because of the injury situation. Backup to the backups, although did do well in his appearances. Hedges - I still find it surreal that people now treat his absence as a monumental blow to our chances of success. Pears - Toth is back and better than Aynsley, so this is only a problem if Toth gets injured again. Can't be considered a disadvantage unless that happens. Kargbo - Zero end product, no footballing brain. Has one above-attribute attribute, pace, and that's it. Tavares - I'd rather play with ten men. So yeah, my view is that we only really miss Gudjohnsen and Morishita - maybe Miller at a push, although I still think he's very much a component of the downgrade. Difficult to say on Montgomery and Litherland as we haven't seen enough of either to know if they can be useful for consistent periods. The rest are, imo, largely useless either because they're never fit or just not very good.

If they had held off for another 12-18 months we could've been sold for £100M+ instead of what was it £29M? - Today

One presumes if they do then Sargent will be sold to balance the finances. Would make sense as he has refused to play for them and wants out. Hard to come back from. -
No debates on Duff here! Except, maybe, regarding injuries towards the end of his career. Had we held on to Hakan Unsal, the Turkey left back, he may well have gone on to be one of our best left backs. Worthy mentions for Andre Ooijer and Eyal Berkovic. The striker, Kalinic is an odd one, scored goals in Serie A but flopped here. Not necessarily the worst but players that disappointed: David Yelldell Deyovaisio Zeefuik Lorenzo Amoruso Amine Linganzi Barry Douglas Martin Andresen Oumar Kounde Radosan Petrovic Corrado Grabbi Egil Ostenstad Maceo Rigters

According to the Telegraph, Norwich are trying to sign Bodo's actual striker, Kasper Høgh. If Transfermarkt is to be believed, he'll cost significantly more than Jorgensen, but does have an impressive goalscoring record. -

Its where Batty played at Accrington last season. Picked up several young player of the year awards too Powell probably more suited to being a creative wing back though
