  1. Past hour
  2. Head says the wily Wilder will have too much nous for Ismael and his organised and disciplined team will run out winners with Ings notching. Heart says Gudjohnsen will open his account for us and we win and Hamer will prove a bigger miss for SU than Cantwell will for us. Red wine at the ready should it get unbearable!
  3. God looking at some of the teams we have had over the years compared to the shite we have today
  4. Taveres, not even on the bench, it is not November yet! If there is a plus in signing him, at least he has actually kicked a ball, which cannot be said for Baradji... Onwards and downwards!
  5. All his articles have been basically brown-nosing since the "ban". Can't see that it's made any difference whatsoever to the reporting tbh.
  6. In previous years that would be very a good observation but, other than Wharton, those names will mean nothing to our players. That's the problem, we have owners with no feeling for the club who recruit players based on cost and nothing else. I wonder if any of our players would even understand the relevance if they were told there are ex-Burnley players in the opposition team. Our team is a bunch of mercenaries who will be forgotten in a couple of years
  7. De Neve probably deserves a start as he's looked half decent last few appearances. Please, just score first then we're at least in with a chance..
  8. If you can explain what the significance of the Maltese Cross is to the Football Club I'm open to being convinced otherwise.
  9. I thought I'd also read that they did all the checks and scans and that it wasn't anything serious, so it seems strange he's out for a while when it was just about waiting for swelling to come down.
  10. Think Im right in saying it started out as a "slight knee injury" then escalated into "ten days" last time we heard.
  11. I doubt I'll see 175. But I will settle for seeing Venkys sell-up.
  12. It could well be argued that this Maltese Cross has no actual direct connection to the Rovers Club. "This motif was worn by both the Shrewsbury and Malvern school teams and two former Malvernians played in that first team alongside the two old Salopians, so there is a clear link with these public schools." It's wearing was afforded as an honour to those former pupils of those above learning establishments...nothing more. Its has now suddenly become gospel that it was the CLUBS first badge? Mmmmmm.
  13. Do you want it to say McEwens on the front too? 150 years is a huge milestone and putting a Maltese cross on it symbolises our beginnings why it would be anything else is beyond me. Sad to say but not many here (at a guess) will see us at 200 years old. Why not nod to our foundations now while we can.
  14. Whens the few wins going to happen? When we're relegated and have nothing to play for?
  15. Put your house on both of them being instrumental to a Blades win.
  16. I do find it strange that he came out and said miroshita was there main target all summer and they waited on purpose to get him… you would think a statement like that means he would be playing every week. I actually think he might work better than henrikson behind the strikers. Least when he does have the ball he actually looks like he has some quality to do something with it
  17. Don't know if we'll live that long!
  18. Why are you fixated on a Maltese Cross? It looks like we HAVEN'T used one since at least 1892 so Im not sure why we need it now. A nice shirt in blue and white halves of some hue with a quality badge similar to the 1975 one marking the anniversary would have done for me. None of which we look likely to get.
  19. Ings and Mee in the Sheffield United 11 if we needed any more motivation
  20. Disappointing, but not at all surprising Standards are through the floor "Dion De Neve returns to the team having dropped to the bench against Coventry City at the weekend, with the Japan international taking the place of Ryan Hedges, who's available as a substitute if needed."
  21. On the official site, it calls De Neve a Japanese international
  22. You lot will be saying the complete opposite after a few wins, reactionary npc's most of you.
  23. Today
  24. De Neve for Hedges, Pickering back on the bench in place of Tavares
  25. I always thought that way you had twice the chance of getting selected.
