  1. Past hour
  2. Can’t be that good defensively, if we’re 20th…
  3. Who was most likely just repeating what the club(Gestede) have been saying. I can't find it now but I listened to a podcast with Sonny last season and he said he was happy here but the club hadn't started talks on a new deal. Il be very surprised if he ends up back in Norway
  4. That Roverspaper account is one of the worst on twitter. I don't find it weird at all. He is already ahead of where Lenihan, Wharton and Carter were at the same age. He just wasnt ready for Championship football when we signed him. Devlin from Hearts would be my choice, outnof contract in the summer although with the way they are going I dont imagine we would be able to prise him away at the minute!
  5. Saw Ste B recently he is near me in N03. Glenn only goes very occasionally I believe, seems more into his ice hockey with his lad these days. Lee Grooby not seen for years, heard that he packed Rovers in due to how he was treated when he left the club but don't know if thats 100% true.
  6. That's why I would be very open to allowing Ribeiro to leave and keep Hedges and Pickering as wing back for the left side plus Powell to back that up.
  7. The Fans’ Quandary Read the full article on the front page and let us know your thoughts.
  8. Obviously As always, decisions made for financial rather than footballing reasons. He has shown he is a better option than either Ribeiro or De Neve. But his wage is the higher of those 3, so he is the one who is to be sold off. Still have no idea why Powell has not been tried at least off the bench, as he already looks at least the second best option for left wing back, and has potential to be our first choice there for years
  9. Today
  10. The only bitter part of Wharton leaving Palace and we get a lump sum is that we probably won't see any of it!
  11. If someone set themselves on fire on the pitch all they would do is moan about missing the game. People that like are not worth it. What Jack did wasn't worth it. That's what he would say if he had to listen to people like that. How could you not?
  12. They are beyond redemption. Of course you know because we discussed it but Howard was strutting around the statue as recently as August. A few of you also know (for a brief period until I had it removed) the first picture that came up under Jack Walker on Google was a picture of Howard in front of the statue. You couldn't even see the top half of the statue. Sickening. The only things that could have summed it up more would have been if he was carrying a bag of money and an axe. Do people think their profits ended with the sale? Northcote were happy to do business with the club until Matthewman sold. What else went on behind closed doors? I fully believe they are close friends with Pasha and have other friends who were instrumental in the takeover and gained power (and money) in the aftermath. They might not seek the former but the only thing they care about is the latter.
  13. This is the baffling thing. Why make cutbacks? We don't want you here and you lose circa £20m a year just by owning the club. Sell it and rid yourselves of this headache.
  14. Yesterday
  15. League 2 wages. Move away from Ewood Park. Sell the training ground. Cheap as chips. They could even allow us to go lower, until the finances work. Ave turnover of L2 clubs is 3-6 million.
  16. Tis very true! Liverpool also carry a bizarre festive record playing Christmas day, Boxing day and the following day consecutively, with Rovers drawing them 3-3 on the final of their triple run of fixtures!
  17. All of those reasons are not rooted in a love of the club or the desire to see the club do well and represent us, the people of the town and community, on the biggest stage possible. They're rooted in selfish behaviour and a complete egotistical world view. "No one tells me what to do" - Said like a 5 year old and with the same mentality. "Going to Rovers is my choice, my routine" It's all about them. Not a thought about the future or past of the club. No thought of pride and being part of something bigger than yourself. No thought about ensuring that we have a strong club going forward to hand over to future generations, something they can be proud of. These thoughts don't factor into it. It's just all about them and their small little world. Saturday afternoon is when they go to Ewood Park (for now) and watch a team wearing blue and white shirts play football. That's it. Fair do's if that's all you care about, but I don't want to hear anything from you about the performance on the pitch, the shit show that will be our inevitable relegation(s) or anything else. If you've not got the bollocks or brains to get on board and put in the most minimal effort (literally just do nothing) to improve the situation of the club then shut the fuck up about anything else to do with this football club. Your opinion is completely invalid. If you're not prepared to take some action to rid this club of the virus that is venkys ownership then YOU ARE part of the problem.
  18. We're not getting anywhere near 15000,we both know that. I was making a point about it being "only one game". Turn the tables and that "only one game" becomes a big deal.
  19. I think you know that there's absolutely no chance of us selling out the ground for any game. Just as there's no chance of there being zero home fans in for Watford. It's a matter of degree. If such a thing were done, what would you consider a decent enough effort in the first game to persuade you to miss the second? 20k home fans?
  20. You sell it out, I'll miss Watford . # it's only one game.
  21. Well find us a Canadian multibillionaire anxious to get a foothold in English soccer then, and we can cut out most of the foreplay! 🙂
  22. Björk - Who Is It (Carry My Joy on the Left, Carry My Pain on the Right) 🫡
  23. So just to clarify your own personal position, if there was a "Take back the Club" style effort at filling the ground at the Charlton game with all manner of anti Venky's protests, you'd be prepared to participate in the boycott of the Watford game?
  24. That’s because social media isn’t representative. It’s the only connection to the club for fans who live abroad / far away / have found other things to spend their money on, so those groups are over-represented on here. The fans I personally know who go mostly have never posted on here, or know/care it exists. And critiquing the tactics isn’t the same as “opposed to change”.
  25. 15 years of increasing apathy, worst first half season at home in history, two games abandoned are all far more compelling causes of crap attendance.
  26. I thought he was sensational second half. He completely dominated arsenal's midfield. I hope he leaves England and moves to Barcelona or real madrid
  27. A lot of the folk pushing for a boycott won’t have been on Ewood all season, so if they don’t go against Watford they aren’t really boycotting. The reality is that many people have been boycotting for years under the excuse that they aren’t going again until Venkys leave. It doesn’t seem to bother the owners at all however many people are a the games.
