I remember saying many times why this head coach nonsense in modern football is counter productive. Players picked by people unqualified to do so and given to the head coach rather than letting him have sole autonomy to decide who he wants and doesnt want. We are an extreme and particularly dysfunctional case obviously, but every February we are left looking for a new manager and with a squad not fit for purpose.

Youve done well to bring Mowbray into it. Duff wouldnt be mentioned if he didnt play for us. And Johnson shouldnt be given the job. We need someone with some sort of decent track record.

"Mutual termination" means you're being sacked but we're paying up your contract and phrasing it this way to salvage your reputation a bit and in return you can sign a NDA. IF Johnson came in and won the next 2-3 it would be stupid to get rid of him. Just dont say anything and wait until we're safe THEN either give him the job or bring someone else in. Johnson might surprise a few people, he seemed very highly rated a few years ago before Mowbray brought him into the first team set up and then seemingly completely marginalised him.
